Grits and Shins Posted November 29, 2004 Share Posted November 29, 2004 Wow, with only 1 week left before our playoffs in my local 12 team league, only 3 teams have been eliminated and the seeding is wide open. Records 9-3 ---> clinched division but could lose top seed 8-4 ---> clinched division and could 1, 2 or 3 seed 7-5 ---> clinched division could get 2, 3 or 4 seed 7-5 ---> a win next week clinches division, could get 2, 3 or 4 seed 7-5 ---> (me) clinched wild card spot ... 5th seed 6-6 ---> can still win division, otherwise out 6-6 ---> competing for last wild card 6-6 ---> competing for last wild card 6-6 ---> competing for last wild card 5-7 ---> out 3-9 ---> out 2-10 ---> out Each of the 6-6 teams gets a 6-6 team next week. Obviously the losers are automatically eliminated from the playoffs. The winners of these 2 games will have to go to tie-breakers to determine which team will make the playoffs. Unfortunately for one of the 6-6 teams even if he wins he is out (unless he manages to win his division, which could happen, but is unlikely) because he lost H2H to BOTH of the 6-6 teams in the other game (which means he will lose on tie-breakers). I get that unless Marshall Faulk has a 3td game 2nite. If he doesnt I get it =) In the same League only 3 teams are eliminated and only I have clinched a playoff spot.
