Primetime9287
I think that with all the injuries Priest has had and the fact that he was going to retire after last year, but he wanted to break the rushing record, Priest will join Ricky in the retirement department after this season. He will realize with his health issues he won't be able to break the rushing record and will call it quits. Anyone agree?
Only In America
No, he continues to play. He is a team first guy unlike Manning.
Bill Swerski
No, he continues to play. He is a team first guy unlike Manning. 588100[/snapback] Here, fishy-fishy... Why are we speculating about Priest's retirement? It's not like his knee injury is career-threatening.
Maize N Blue Backer
no way---my guess is he is back for a year of vengeance---KC will contend for the SuperBowl next year---write it down----a few defensive moves in the new year, including trading either Blaylock or L Jo for a stud LB or DL they'll be set (if they get a few good hits on draft day)
tonyr0802
I think Priest will retire this year. He almost did it this past off season, and with his injuries I think he'll hang 'em up. And what's with all the Manning haters? Must be people that don't have him on their team. Sure he's throwing up a lot of TD's, but it's not like he's forcing them in everywhere he can just to get them. He's got a lot of open looks and had WR make good plays too. Show me another QB that wouldn't be tossing em up like that too if they had the weapons. I don't remember people complaining so much a few years back when the Rams were lighting up the boards. Sorry for the rant in your post Primetime, just tired of reading the bashing on Manning.
Guggs
I wouldn't be surprised to see both Holmes and Steve McNair retire after this season.
NSab
Priest Holmes has amended his apology to fantasy football players on his website. TeamPriest.com has removed the reference to "not being able to finish out the season." Still, it looks less likely every day that Priest will play again this season. Perhaps the Chiefs will address the issue today, but we doubt it.

NSab
Chief RB Priest Holmes (knee) is definitely out for this week, and there’s no guarantee he’ll be back on the field again this year. Derrick Blaylock will start for the Chiefs at Oakland, with Larry Johnson getting worked into the mix. Although nothing is official, there are strong indications that he will not play again this year.
