Moneyshot
How do you guys think the Redskins will be next year? Will Portis learn how to run behind that line? Will Ramsey be a descent QB? They have a great Defense and solid WR's. What do you think?
skins
I think with continuity and that defense, they will be in contention for the playoffs. Ramsey has settled down and is playing cautious sound football. The blocking schemes have been adjusted to account for Portis' style. The offensive line will have Jansen back and Lavar Arrington will be healthy next year. Sean Taylor will have a year under his belt and be ready to dominate receivers. Coles' toe should be better and he, Gardner and Cooley will have a year in the offense and half a year and an offseason with Ramsey. They should make the playoffs next year. The issue has never really been talent--well, except for Brunell--it has been owner rashness which lead to a lack of continuity. With Gibbs, Williams and Blache back and a strong core nucleus of young players, they will be very good next year.
slajtac
no playoffs next year, joe gibbs has lost it, he is andy reid's whipping boy! until they can win in the division there is no hope. the eagles own the east this year, next year and possibly for the next 3 years until the rest of the division learns cap management and when to release players who are about to go on the downside of their careers. go eagles!!!! 2004 NFC champs

The Redskins have given them the best game of any NFC team this year. The average margin of victory against all other opponents is just under 20 pts. I think the Skins have a nucleus to a very solid football team. The trick is to get an o-line and to keep Williams there as coach of the defense. Coulda, shoulda, and woulda this year, but I have faith that if we stay the course, we will be there next season.
alexgaddis
I see them being better next year but they won't be a high scoring team...Great defense and running the ball next year means the only two options for fantasy football purposes are the Defense and Portis...forget the wide-outs and quarterback positions... Maybe not. Maybe they even win it. They sure are playing well and Red is a he11 of a coach. But Gibbs is noone's whipping boy and never will be. And things can change in the NFL very quickly. I was with a bunch of Eagles fans at the game Sunday night and they were damm nervous about OT with the Redskins. And at the beginning of the game, when the Redskins highlight reel ran showing clips from our illustrious Super Bowl wins and appearances, a Philly fan who drove down said something about it to me and living in the past, blah blah blah. My only point to him was that it sure beats the highlight film from a bunch of NFC Championship game losses.
