abishagenaden
1) Should I give Roy Williams a 4th chance against a Winfield-less Vikings secondary? 2) Should I start 'broken-nosed' Burleson over Rudi? 3) I assume Thomas Jones is still not start-able. 4) The Seahawks don't have an easy matchup this weekend, I intend to drop J.Brown. How does Kasay sound? Thank yugh!
ropeman
OK Hugh One Thanks for your advice last week. I went with Volek on a gamble and put Hicks in in lieu of Barber. Ended up working real well last week. Here are my options. I've ranked them based upon what I'm thinking I'll go with. Just looking for another opinion. RB Choose 3 Goings Deuce Portis Barber Hicks QB Choose 1 Volek Brees Kicker Choose 1 Stover Akers Def Choose 1 Buffalo Indy Playing team with McNabb, Owens, Muhammad, MRob, Dillon, LT2, Pittman, Gates, Wilkins, PittD. What are my chances. First round of playoffs?
jv378
Allright boys and girls, I'm back for the 15th week. Please post any pertinent information I might need to help make a decision, and please don't ask me to pick your entire lineup. Fire away. 612850 Another week and somehow I'm still alive. Here's a different twist - agree of not? At QB I was thinking of starting Leftwich, however in the frozen tundra I am considering using Volek against OAK... Right thinking or wrong? At RB... I am reluctantly sitting Taylor and going with Pittman vs NO and Alexander. Kicker (SORRY about this)... Wilkins, Kaeding, Lindell, or Brien. I was leaning Kaeding, but most of his missed FG's have come on the road... with CLE's weather in question... Is Wilkins the kicker du jour? I am going up against the top scoring team... I really appreciate your help. THANKS!

tbimm
Ok folks i have been playin Balt all season but they have Manning to deal with this week. So the question is , Should i pick up SD @ Cle, or Houston@Chi? Or should i just stay with Balt and hope they pull off the miracle and stop the Manning machine! If it helps return yards go for the def in this league. By the way , Grits, if i score the most points will i win or lose? 613359 What you think Hugh? BeerBuzzard
First time asking almighty Hugh One. Hope enuf info provided. I have Jones, Portis and Dunn. (also Mr. Turf Toe, C Brown). Starting Portis and Jones for sure. My dilema is thinking about replacing one of my WR (E Kennison, whose been hot and KC is going to need offense as they usually do) with Dunn. My RB/WR look like this (Std Performance scoring) Jones, Julius RB DAL @PHI Portis, Clinton RB WAS @ Holt, Torry WR STL @ARI Kennison, Eddie WR KC DEN Thinking about substituting Dunn for Kennison Brown, Chris RB TEN @OAK Dunn, Warrick RB ATL CAR Patten, David WR NE @MIA Gotta play Torry, so any thoughts about subsituting Dunn as he's now solo over Eddie Kennsion? Tough matchup on first playoff week, so I guess it's a crapshoot Thnaks for the time
Puddy
First time using the thread Hugh (but have read it several times). You sure add a lot to this forum. Semifinals this week and I have decent RB's to choose from. I need 2 from the following. Pretty much a std performance league. J. Jones v. Philly D. McCallister v. Tampa M. Pittman v. New Orleans C. Martin v. Seattle L. Johnson v. Denver Also which QB (I don't like either match-up) Brooks v. Tampa (I guess I'd bench him if I start McCallister) Delhomme v. Atlanta Thanks for the input in advance. 1badfish
Hello Hugh! I am glad to have the need to chat with you this week. Second round of playoffs. It is amazing which teams in my league made it in this year and which ones didn't. PManning, LT, Droughns, Culpepper, McNabb, Owens, Alexander, McGehee, Lewis are all out of the way. I think I have a pretty good chance at winning from here on out if I chose the right lineup. I know most of whom I am going to start. I am starting DD, Walker and Horn. I need to decide on three more. 1 QB, WR and a RB. QB: ***Normally I wouldn't question Farve but lately he has been very bad. ***Volek has a great matchup in Oak. **Farve vs Jax **Volek vs Oak WR: Starting Walker and Horn: **RMoss (has 1 td against Det in their last 7 games) **Lelie vs KC I suppose it's worth mentioning that I also have Buleson and Branch on the bench. RB: Starting Dom Davis **SJackson vs Ari **Goings vs Atl **OSmith vs Det (concerned about the emergence of the RBBC....again) **CBrown vs Oak **TBell vs KC Thanks for all your help this season. I hope I will have the need to call on you for advise again next week. Happy Holidays Edited December 16, 2004 by 1badfish
Chad
Hello Hugh, Thanks to your help last week I get to play again this week Your help is VERY appreciated!! I've got a few toughies... I think I have to start 2 of these guys -- McGahee at CIN- No Brainer? DDavis at CHI OSmith at DET Jamal Lewis at IND - Injury issues make either a tough play Chester Taylor at IND And I have to start 2 of these guys in another league-- Martin vs SEA Jamal Lewis at IND OSmith at DET Rudi Johnson vs BUF and 1 QB Carr at CHI Rothlisberger at NYG Edited December 16, 2004 by Chad
Smythen71
OK -- Missed Galloway on the waiver wire -- my selections are Bruce, Robinson, Boldin, and Moulds. Moulds and Boldin are a go on my team. Huddle start/bench is recommending Robinson as S2 and Bruce as X. What do you think -- should I start Bruce @ ARI or Robinson @ DET??!! Help! Thanx! nhoops
'Morning Hugh, I don't need help this week, think I got it under control, but let me know if you see something I missed. Standard scoring, *denotes starter. QB: *Griese v. NO, Hasselbeck @ NYJ, Volek @ Oak RB: *LT@ Clev, *McGahee @ Cincy, Westbrook v. Dal, Bell @ KC WR: *Owens v. Dal, *Walker v. Jax, Boldin v. STL, TJ Housh v. Buf TE: *Wiggins @ DET, Shockey v. Pitt K: *Brien v. Sea, Kasay @ ATL D: *Car @ ATL, SD @ CLE QB: All perfomed well last week. Hasselbeck has the toughest matchup. Going with Griese against a weak NO team RB: Didn't have to think to much about this WR: my WR play of late has cost me a few games. I just have this feeling that Walker will perform this week. The moment I bench him he'll go off TE: Wiggins gets yards, Shockey has a tough matchup this week K: was going with Kasay but Brien may get many chances v. Sea - I'm a little unsure about this one. D: CAR has been hot, but just p/u SD D....What do you think? 1st week of playoffs, going against guy who beat me 2 weeks ago, he has: Manning, LJohnson, CTaylor (Hicks, Bettis), Bruce, Coles (Kennison, Galloway), Heap, Balth D. and Kaeding. I'm hoping that Balt gets beat, but not to bad. If my WR show up I think I'll take it. Thanks again for taking the time to respond. Good Luck with your team(s) as well. fantasyfanatic
Okay Hugh. It has been a couple weeks, mainly because you helped me to second place and I got the bye last week. I say "Thankyou very much!" So I have 2 for you: 1.) With D.Davis as my clear #1....who should be the #2 this week. 2.) Am I crazy? I am actually thinking of putting my team in the hands of Clayton, Bryant and Parker. Are they the three recievers you would start? Thanks again for all the solid advise this season! I hope I need more next week.

Swashbucklers
Thanks Hugh! Which two WRs should I start this week? Clayton v. Saints Ward v. Giants Mason v. Raiders Evans v. Bengals I am leaning towards Clayton (for sure) and Evans, unless Mason has a couple days of good practice. How do you think that Evans will do this week? Naked Bootleggers
Hugh- Quick and easy ones for you. Volek @ OAK (if he starts) or Brady @ MIA ? Need 3 of these WRs - Horn @ TB, Walker VS Jax, Clayton VS NO, A. Johnson @ CHI, and Evans @ CIN. I am leaning towards the 1st 3. Horn, Walker and Clayton. Thanks...again for your input. Hugh 0ne
Thinking about picking up Galloway.I have been starting Pinkston latley and he's been good, not great. E. parker is certinly turning it on latley and with K.mac hurt should see a good amount of looks this week again. who would you start/pickup? Parker, Galloway or Pinkston? Team 2 on sig. 613041 Wow, that's ugly. None are primary targets. None have been consistent. I would play the matchup, and that clearly has to point to Galloway. Guest Red Raider
Hugh, I'm Scared I am playing the point leader in the 2nd round of our playoffs and need your help Green or Plummer: who do I start? Green: vs denver. he's been hot, but may not have Morton. Den. def. good against the pass. Plummer: I know you do not like starting him and he has sucked the last couple of weeks, but K.C. pass defence is horrible. No penalty for int. Thanks
Hugh 0ne
I love when I get to this before the post number hits 400. I appreciate your time with this especially since people have taken care of the only other person you could count on for input. I need two RBs from Julius Jones @ Phil; Portis @ SF; Dunn v CAR; O Smith @ DET Portis is in so Jones(hot hand, bad matchup), Dunn(Cool hand ok matchup) as a number 2. Pretty sure Smith sits but Bell is available on WW and may play @KC. Which two would you start? Also I have a DST problem. I have BALT, who even though is my stud D I don't think ASYS applies when they face Manning at home 2 tds shy of a record. And its the ESPN Sunday Night game. Indy is a good scoring DST but Balt has turned their O around a bit. Should a pick-up ARI v STL and hope for sacks and TOs or take MINN @ Det and hope for the same? Or should I sit tight? 613053 I think you go with the hot hand, Julius Jones. The ONLY problem is if Dallas gets blown out, Jones may not get enough touches. That being said, he's been a work horse and I don't expect Parcells to abandon the run even if they're down. Stick with the Ravens. The Vikes defense is horrendous, and I just can't see starting the Cards over the Ravens. I woudn't be surprised if the Ravens do a good job and Manning. Every once on a while when Manning has a meltdown it's against a good team. He might be due.
