SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse recruit Omain Gullette, an all-state defensive lineman from Glen Mills, Pa., was was shot and killed Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia.

 

Gullette, 19, was shot 13 times in the chest as he reportedly was trying to mediate a dispute and was pronounced dead at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

I'd say that was a pretty poor job of "mediation" ... guess maybe he should have minded his own business.

Actually he did a fine job of drawing attention away from the person the guy was fighting with.

 

He just a little more attention than he wanted.

As an Orangemen fan, it really sucks...It sounds as if he walked into the wrong crowd while he was visiting his cousin in Philly...rumor has it that he approached a neighborhood gang with a history of violence...According to sources, Gullette had a history in the past as well, but he finally got turned around in the right direction...it ids really too bad!! :confused:
