darin3
I take part in a 4-man, re-draft Playoff Fantasy Football game... which always makes the playoffs great to watch! We draw numbers for the draft order, and select 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, a K and a D (drop to 1 RB each at NFC/AFC Championship week, as there's only 4 teams left!). So I wanted to get an early jump on doing my rankings for the Wild Card Weekend, and thought I'd share how I rank the more important positions. If anyone has comments, or their own rankings, feel free to contribute to this thread! QBs 1. Manning: Um, duh? Even Champ Bailey won't slow this train down. 2. Culpepper: Will have to throw to keep up with the Pack. 3. Favre: Vikings pass D took another injury hit. 4. Brees: Jets are reelin', Brees and the SD studs are rested. 5. Plummer: At least he plays in a dome; against a suspect D, too. 6. Bulger: Will have to throw to keep up with the 'Hawks. 7. Hasselbeck: It'll be the Alexander show. Probably. 8. Pennington: The Green Machine is out of gas. RBs 1. LT: Even the studly Jet D won't slow this Bolt down. 2. Alexander: See Hasselbeck, above. 3. Edge: Plenty of passing, but Edge will get the rock. 4. Green: Is he healthy? Vikings don't present a problem, if he is. 5. Martin: Will need to run and score big for the Jets to compete. 6. Bennett: Now "the man" for the Vikes. GB can be run on. 7. Jackson: Will Faulk get carries? Will Martz actually run the ball? 8. Droughns: Will Bell get carries? Is Shanahan mad? WRs 1. Harrison: Best WR on the best offense. Dome. Champ who? 2. R. Moss: Always comes up big vs. GB. Will have to come up HUGE. 3. Walker: With a depleted Viking secondary covering him, will be big. 4. Wayne: Next best WR on the best offense. Dome. No Champ covering him. 5. Holt: Will have to have a monster game if STL is to upset. 6. Smith: Lelie will get pub, but Smith, the vet, will have to come up big. 7. Lelie: Should get open against Indy's blah secondary. 8. Gates: Counts as a WR in most leagues; will be Brees' main target. 9. Stokley: If healthy, will get plenty of looks from Manning. 10. Jackson: Would be higher if Holmgren didn't plan on running Alexander 40 times. 11. Driver: It won't just be Walker. 12. Bruce: It can't be just Holt. 13. McCardell: If he's healthy and the Jets key on Gates, he could be big. 14. Burleson: GB's secondary can be beat. Moss will be doubled. 15. S. Moss: Perhaps he catches a few slant passes? 16. Robinson: If Holmgren lets him out of the doghouse, he could be a deep sleeper. Congrats to all the regular-season Fantasy Football champs here on the Huddle... and good luck to those playing in NFL Playoff fantasy football games. gcs
Good list but I think I would move Bulger up to #4 possibly #3 and I would have Holt #1 and Moss #2 then Marvin etc.... Just my 2 cents
