Grits and Shins Posted January 19, 2005 Share Posted January 19, 2005 *Forum Awards* Fantasy Guru Award Assuming this award is meant for the guy that seemed to know his stuff and wasn't afraid to share his opinions in the Fantasy Advice Forum how can this NOT be Hugh One. ts still deserves a mention even though his life interupted his time in the forum. Lastly darin3 did his part too. Huddle Heisman I find it hard to believe I garned any votes in this category, assuming it is an award for the guy that knows college sports and posts in the College Football forum. I don't spend enough time over there ... but it seems to me like Sgt. Ryan (if you set aside his blind homerism for OU), theeohiostate and spain seemed to be the main players over there. Tailgate Award I haven't spending a whole lot of time over there ... but when I think of the Tailgate it's hard not to give Loaf props for all the games. Homer Hero When I think of homers the names that come to mind are ... Chief Dick for always knowing the status of Priest's MRI. Skippy for letting the masses know that Big Ben was the real deal BEFORE he got the starting job. I'm sure there are others. *Site Awards* Best Huddle Game I really like the Huddlers Challenge II despite my worst year yet. After that it's Smackbowl, again despite my poor showing. I did do a little better in the Weekly Blitz. That damn suicide pool that Dr. Rock runs kicks my ass every year ... I have yet to get past week 2 Best BOTH League How can anybody really answer this question? I'm in 4 (going on 5) BOTH leagues and each is different and his it's own merits. FOFF was my first BOTH league and is a relatively standard 12 team league with option 2 keepers. It has been around since 1999 ... I have won the championship twice and lost it once ... one the Toilet Bowl once. CORE is a full dynasty salary cap auction style league and runs 1 RB, 4 WR, 1 TE and 1 FLEX ... no defense. I'm a new comer to Hannibals and Late Bloomers ... and will be one of the founding members of Generations Next. Best Huddle article - The thing that brought me to this sight originally many years ago ... DMD's weekly projections. Best post/thread - Best Link - Best New Feature I like being about to use colors. I like the ignore feature. Worst New Feature I hate not being able to edit the title of my post once posted and I hate not being able to delete my own posts. *Individual Awards* Best Username - Best Sigline – Best Sigline Acquired From a Bet - Best Avatar - Best Fisherman - spain Best use of Graemlins - Most Respected Huddler - Don't know ... I like untateve's sharp wit ... he doesn't say much but when he does it's generally pretty funny. Skippy and Big Country are worth listening to as well. Hugh One and Big John are other names that come to mind.
