CaptainHook
MRI shows no ligament damange in Bob Sanders' knee. His availability for Week 11 against the Bengals will be decided later in the week. 1148824 Sanders did not practice Wednesday or Thursday with a bruised knee. He wanted to practice on Thursday, but the team decided to give him one more day. He did run on a treadmill. Barring any setbacks, he should practice Friday and start in Cincinnati on Sunday. CaptainHook
is freeney playing today? 1163561 He has not been playing well the last 3 weeks. Lots of double teams. But still, he should be doing better than he has. Rumor is that he has a arch that is bothering him. He has been missing some practices. CaptainHook
CB Nick Harper aggravated his groin Monday night against the Steelers and did not play in the second half. He is currently listed as questionable, and the MRI showed a strain. Rookie Marlin Jackson would make his first start if Harper misses this week. THe nickel cornerback would be Kelvin Hayden. Dime cornerback would be recently PUP-activated Von Hutchins.
Czarina
How will the Dline fare against Tennessee today? Freeney's been quiet but guys like Reagor have been playing OK. Thoughts?
CaptainHook
How will the Dline fare against Tennessee today? Freeney's been quiet but guys like Reagor have been playing OK. Thoughts? 1190824 They played very well. I'm kind of tired of seeing Freeney triple and double teamed, and I'm sure he is. Freeney seems much more capable of beating those if he's on an artificial surface. The Titans tried a lot of max protection with a bunch of TE's. Plus they ran draws and quick screens to try and slow down the Colts rush. They had good pressure all day. And then Freeney stipped McNair, it went straight up in the air and Triplett caught it and took it in for the TD. Nick Harper did not play today. It looks like the Colts don't have a ton of confindence in the fourth CB Kelvin Hayden. Even when the Titans went three wide, they primarily stayed in their base 4-3 defense. CaptainHook
Harper has returned to practice and should play Sunday at Jacksonville. Joseph Jefferson was placed on IR with a knee injury. He is scheduled to have it scoped. Not surprising. The guy is always hurt. CaptainHook
Harper practiced Friday and says he WILL play Sunday at Jacksonville Cato June, although guaranteeing he would play Thursday, did not practice on Friday, and Dungy said he will be a game time decision: June, the Colts’ second-leading tackler, has missed a day or two or practice in most of the last several weeks, but has yet to miss a start this season. “He’s probably about the same as he’s been every week,” Dungy said as the AFC South-leading Colts (12-0), the NFL’s last remaining unbeaten team, prepared to play the Jacksonville Jaguars (9-3) at Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla., Sunday at 1 p.m. “He’s going to want to play, so we’ll let him go down there and run. If he can run well enough . . .” June, who has 99 tackles this season with a pass defensed, is listed as questionable on the injury report with groin, knee and ankle injuries. Dungy said the knee and ankle were bothering June the most this week. “We’ll see how he is,” Dungy said. If June cannot start, second-year linebacker Gilbert Gardner – a 2004 third-round draft selection from Purdue University – will start in his place at weakside backer. from colts.com
