Who would you want Vick or Brady?

Recommended Posts

Crumpler isn't the only guy open. Vick has either taken off by then or made a bad decision.

He's the only guy who can get open before the O-line collapses.

So what should he do: throw the ball away or gain 50 yards?

Stats for Price from nfl.com - the guy was steadily improving every year until he went to Atlanta.

You need to look at the whole picture here Grogansghost.

Ask yourself this;

Was Price Buffalo's #1 WR and thus drawing the opposing Team's top CB?

Or, in the case of D's that don't switch up there top Cover guy, instead swinging their Free Safety over the top to help cover the opposing team's best WR, was Price the guy in Buffalo demanding that Double Coverage?

Of course not, that was Eric Moulds.

In Buffalo, Price for the most part, enjoyed single coverage and quite often, it was the opposing Team's B type CB on him.

In Atlanta, he does not have the luxury of an Eric Moulds type player across from him. Price is* Atlanta's #1 WR. That role has now exposed Price for what he really is.....a very good #2 WR, but a sub par #1 WR.

He just doesn't have what it takes to be a #1 WR at this time and I for one, am not sure if he ever will develop into a legitimate #1 WR....regardless who is QB'ing.

Here in Atlanta, there were actually rumblings this off-season, that he might get cut. Those rumblings have now subsided, but the Coaching staff has put Price on notice that he is in competition for a starting WR spot.*

It is not at all a given that he will be one of the Falcons starting WR's, this up-coming season.

I think 15 years down the road this discussion would be similar to if someone asked who would you rather of had on a team... Joe Montana or Randell Cunningham. Cunningham sure was a phenom of an athlete, but then again, teams and players don't play to have the best athlete or best selling jersey's, its about super bowls, and how many of them you win. Once again, i'm not a Brady fan, but this guy is one of the best guys now, and will be a hall of famer. People always want to talk about how he's rode in on the back of a defense, thats just stupid. Look at his stats, and his leadership ability's... Look at the packers defensive rankings when they won the super bowl against the pats... They're defense was loaded, but no one says that Favre won a super bowl because he had a great defense... Unless you're the Rams of a couple of years ago, if you've won a superbowl, you have had a great defense.
