  1. I don't believe that Brandon Marshall makes very smart decisions in his life. There, I said it.
  2. This is a good move. The proven stability of a fat pasty Bob Uecker lookalike will give us all hope here in Denver. No seriously though... I do like him.
  3. It's perfectly normal for grown men to dress up like firemen for fun.
  4. You think that someone who has made the decisions that Vick has made in his life has suddenly started making smart ones because of special circumstances? You probably thought Lindsay Lohan would sober up for a little while when facing jail time, too.
  5. I think their struggles stem mainly from their inability to score points consistently on offense. The defense is not the world's best, but it would look a heck of a lot better if it wasn't constantly on the field and down by more than 2 touchdowns.
  6. I would also like to fire Studesville
  7. That will be a case that goes before Goodall and the league. This firing was almost certainly the result of lawyers billing for 2 weeks of hours and finally saying "Yes, we believe you can fire him for cause". The league upheld firing Lane Kiffin for violating team rules. I think that's a pretty good indicator that we won'd have to pay McDaniels.
  8. I'm worried that this was a bad time to fire a head coach from a hiring perspective. Obviously, it was a good time to fire a head coach from an OMG-he-sucks-so-bad-and-nobody-is-coming-to-the-games perspective. Next year is a potential strike season. The top unemployed candidates may not want to jump into the game right now just to deal with that nonsense rather than just wait it out for another season while gainfully employed as a commentator on the situation. And then there's the issue of the other openings. If you were a premiere quality coach... how would you rank your wish list of teams to work for? Dallas first, probably... then probably Minnesota. I mean... AFC West has a really good rivalry and history going, but I think most people would put it slightly behind the NFC East and NFC North. Denver has a year of slim pickins and even then we're looking at the bottom of the barrel, I think. We're not going to get the Cowher or Gruden... we're going to have to get lucky with a less experienced candidate for a few years at least.
  9. Hot dang! That's the money! Of course now I'm afraid that my fantasy team is going to fire me. We've been under .500 for a few years as well... and shaky decisions? Oh my, you better believe it.
  10. I believe that there is some truth to this. Every year I draft a great team that loses. I'm starting to think it's the players fault. "No, jerks... you WERE good... you CAN be good! Stop sucking!" And my triumvirate of suck this year are Mo (J-D), Larry (Fitz), and Curly (If you call Chris Johnson curly, and I do). Preseason, who would have predicted that squad to go 5-7 with no injuries?
  11. Well, I didn't want to say it. But it is nice to hear.
  12. All three of those RBs may score more than CJ. As a CJ owner, I sympathize. I scoured my roster for someone I could put in who I thought would score more points than his punk ass, but in the end I couldn't pull the trigger. Someone else legitimately might have gone the other way. In the future, probably not best to have husband-wife play each other on the last week of the season. Too much opportunity for shenanigans.
  13. Dear DMD, I've frequented this site for over 10 years... I've read countless articles... heck I even read your book. So as I finish up another season of sadness, I need you to help me understand... Why am I so terrible at fantasy football? It can't be me, right? I'm clearly awesome. Everyone says so. Thanks, Defeated in Denver
