  1. I stand by my original choices. Welker is averaging 1.4 catches more than Horn for similar yards and 2.4 more than Brown for similar yards. The difference-maker here being that Brown has 3 TDs whereas the others have none. Catch numbers say go with Welker and Horn but I'm banking on a Philly v. NO shootout with lots of throwing. Horn and Brown.
  2. Go with Brown and Horn. Brees will be throwing the ball alot today.
  3. Boldin or Cotchery

I say Cotchery, Chicago has only allowed one passing TD all year and it was in garbage time.
  4. Start M. Morris over T. Barber?

It's tempting to look at the good matchup and say Morris but I think you have to follow the ASYS rule here.
  5. Westbrook, Coles, Williams

Westbrook is good to go. Not sure about the others.
  6. Need last Minute Help- What to do?

I like Atlanta and Colston here. Atlanta's speed should produce some sacks and ints against Manning. Brees will be forced to throw because I think the Eagles will be up early.
  7. WDIS at WR?

I think you are leaning right. SF won't have much of an offense this week.
  8. WDIS @ RB

I'm debating whether Turner or Betts will out-point Edge this week. I like both Betts (v. Tennessee) and Turner's (v. SF) matchup and I'm thinking Edge will be shut down by the Bears. Who is the best play this week? Also, out of Boldin (v. CHI), A. Johnson (v. DAL) or Colston (v. PHI), who would you start there?

If you give up Pennington, ask for Maroney or Droughns back.

Tough call, Team A needs the help at RB but trading away Bulger leaves Roethlisberger at the helm. Team B has the RB depth to make the deal and I view Bulger as a definite upgrade to Pennington (his likely current starter). I view it as semi-even but Team A definitely needs to scour the WW for QB help until Big Ben gets his act together.
  11. WDIS-burleson v. mccardell

I say Burleson, Seattle has enjoyed using multi-receiver sets. I also think SEA v. STL will be high-scoring so there is opportunity for scores. San Diego will get up on San Fran early and run the ball for the rest of the game. I doubt the passing game will get much done there.
  12. WDIS @ RB

Thanks for the replies. Would adding K. Jones to the mix of RB choices change anyone's mind? It looks like that mild concussion he suffered last week won't keep him out as I've not heard anything about it.
  13. Bulger or Grossman ?

I like Bulger because I think the score will be run up on both sides. On MNF, Chicago will get an early lead and control the game. I'm guessing the situation will be similar to last week with the Bears. On the other hand, the Rams cannot rely on their defense to stop the Seahawks. They will have to continue to score in order to win the game. I predict scores in this game quick and often.
  14. Driver's status

He took a rather nasty hit over the middle on Monday but he still finished the game. Given the short week, will he be ready to go this week?
  15. Menudo's Quick Picks

Pick two, SSP R. Brown v. Pats Edge v. Chiefs K. Jones v. Vikings Gore v. Raiders Think Gore will have a decent week? I definitely like his matchup but he's been pretty bad of late.
  16. Unless Driver has a field day tomorrow, I nabbed myself a loss this week. But the surprising thing is that if I had started all of my bench players, I would have set the high score mark for a single week. Here's my starters: QB Palmer - 3 RB R. Brown - 10 RB Gore - 4 WR Driver - ? WR Edwards - 7 TE E. Johnson - 1 PK Kaeding - 8 D Browns - 21 Total - 54 so far Bench QB Bulger - 31 RB Maroney - 25 RB K. Jones - 22 WR Horn - 8 WR Bryant - 2 TE D. Clark - 3+ PK Reed - 0 D Falcons - 37 Total - 127 Too many bad calls on my part
  17. WDIS at RB

    R. Brown v. HOU K. Jones v. STL F. Gore v. KC L. Maroney v. CIN Gore is hurt and it appears as though Dillon is not. I like Jones and Brown's matchup but based on Gore's health I'm not sure whether he will have a decent game or not. I have a big matchup this week against the division leader. WDIS?
  18. Looking to trade

I probably wouldn't. CJ will come around as defenses will be forced to respect Housh and Henry more. Bank on a week 6 turn around for him. Trading CJ for two lesser WRs only thins you out. If you must trade, try to exchange some of your WR depth for RBs or possibly a QB.
  19. I like Edwards out of those three. Frye seems as though he's coming around as the Browns' starter. The favorable matchup against Oakland this week should also give Edwards a good shot to put up another solid outing.
  20. WDIS AT RB

I'm a Gore owner myself. I'm going to start him against KC since SF won't have much else to go to. Their passing game did not look strong against Philly. As for the goal line touches, that has me worried but I still believe that he will have a good game.
  21. Menudo's Quick Picks

Hey Menudo- I need a hand in picking defenses this week. Defense has won or lost me every game so far and I'm not really sure which way to go. ATL v Arizona (and the very green Matt Leinart) or CLE v Oakland (and their atrocious offense) Thanks in advance.
  22. WDIS week 4

I know it's early but this decision affects my moves tomorrow and later on in the week. Who do you like here? Falcons D vs. Arizona or drop the Giants and pick up the Browns D vs. the Raiders SSP league
  23. RB Gore

Latest word I have is that Gore has a bruised rib and WILL start week 4 against the Chiefs. If Gore isn't too banged up, he should be fine. Whether he loses TDs to Robinson at the goal line remains to be seen.
  24. Bye bye Warner

Given his recent success, I like Frye out those three. Leinart would be my 2nd. Out of all of the backup RBs people anticipate to be playing next week. I'd give the most credit to Morris of Seattle or Jones-Drew of Jax. Just my 2 cents. Robinson is a backup RB on a lackluster in my opinion. Besides, I think he'd be 3rd on the depth chart. I'd also avoid Houston RBs like the plague.
