  1. Jason David signs offer sheet with Saints

My thoughts as well, and I think a good portion of his not sucking was due to the fact that pretty much every team the Colts played was running the ball down their throats (at least during the regular season). Prior to last year, Jason David and Rob Morris were the two players most commonly ripped on in local sports radio.
  2. New NFL Draft Order

NEW ENGLAND Lost: Tom Ashworth, Matt Chatham, Andre Davis, Tim Dwight, Christian Fauria, David Givens, Adam Vinatieri Signed: Reche Caldwell
  3. Ugly Bear Fans

I knew the reason why the fan was flipping off the camera as soon as I saw it. Imagine you've paid big dollars for excellent sideline seats at a football game, but you can't see much of anything because of the GIANT cart thing that moves up and down the sideline with the TV cameras mounted on it. You're forced to watch almost the entire football game on the scoreboard screens because that's the only way you can see. It happened to me at a Colts MNF game a few years ago and believe me, I know EXACTLY how that fan felt. Not condoning it by any means, but I know what he was feeling.
  4. Someone please find the Sharipova link for Hugh One

I was afraid of direct-linking, but the pic is on the link to the KUSports message boards.
  5. Someone please find the Sharipova link for Hugh One

I can confirm that a Google search of "Sharipova" along with the name of an animal will find it rather quickly.
  6. Just read this article in the newest Esquire, "The Genius Issue". I found it very interesting. ZEUS Football It's three main findings... 1) Always (almost) go for it on 4th and short 2) Use the onside kick much more frequently 3) In kicking, strength trumps accuracy
  7. Optimal football strategy article

Just read a little more of the article in detail, and the developers of ZEUS have a website, Pigskin Revolution where they provide analysis of play-calling decisions during the NFL season. Click on "2006 Commentary". Coming from a Colts fan, they had a nice writeup on the Patriots/Colts game from two weeks ago.
  8. Cabo San Lucas

Anyway, make sure to give us a trip report when you get back. I plan on taking a trip out there within the next year.
  9. Kitna: where's the love

I traded for Kitna two weeks ago, and he is single-handedly saving my season since my other QBs were Roethlisberger and Leftwich. I now will be starting Kitna, Kevin Jones, and Roy Williams (after this weeks bye) in my PPR league and couldn't be happier!
  10. Are any of you stashing Priest or Curtis?

No. Wouldn't even think about it.
  11. 13 years...

That made me He's in my BOTH IDP dynasty league (Cheating Bastages), so I know he does IDP in at least one league.
  12. Michael vick

So I guess you'll never start him then...
  13. David Givens

For those of you that dropped him, are any of you in a dynasty league? I have Givens in my dynasty league and will wait at least another week or two.
  14. Redraft take Watson/Berrian Dynasty take Jackson I'd make both of those trades. Rhodes will definitely be losing more and more carries to Addai over the course of the season.
  15. And so they begin..

Until this year, I always paid attention to bye weeks during the draft and avoided players if it would have caused me to have multiple byes at the same position for the same week. I scrapped that this year after watching too many players that I COULD have drafted go off during the course of the season. I'm in two leagues this year and will have issues in one league where a bunch of my players are on bye in week 7. However, I've come to the opinion that it's just one week and my team is stronger over the course of the entire year if I take the best player available in the draft regardless of bye.
  16. Kerry Rhodes

Harris is a little disappointing so far? Compared to who? He's #5 among all DBs in my IDP league scoring system. I do like Rhodes a lot though as well. Who are your LBs? That would probably help to determine things.
  17. Week #2 Results Thread

BotH CBFL IDP dynasty league WON 216.5 to 178.4 2-0 and 2nd in total points Local IDP redraft league LOST 134.5 to 130.0 1-1 and 1st in total points
  18. From The CrockPot-Week 1

Got around to trying this on Saturday and it made for a great feast, especially after watching Michigan pound ND. I'll enjoy the leftovers tonight while watching MFL to make sure my team finishes off PantherDave in the Cheating Bastages league.
  19. BUF DE Schobel

Starting Schobel and leaving Kampman on the bench cost me 22 points at one DL position. After seeing the first two weeks, Kampman will now be starting along with Suggs on my DL and Schobel will be benched until he shows me something.
  20. Your Best Fantasy Cheater Stories...

There was a BOTH IDP dynasty league started here in the spring. We went thru an entire 35-round draft and after a few questionable trades, discovered that the commish and two other teams in his division were all the same person. The remaining 9 owners kicked the commish and his aliases out of the league and brought in 3 new owners. We redrafted and our inaugural season kicked off this week. We are now called the Cheating Bastages Fantasy League and our divisions are named after the old commish's three teams. There was a thread detailing all this back in the spring but a quick search didn't find it. At least it all worked out in the end and no $ was lost.
  21. Mike Peterson

Add these two plus Odell Thurman on suspension and my opponents will be at my LB starters for the first few games.
  22. 4000

You do realize this is The Tailgate, don't you? It may take weeks to digest this.
  23. HBO Katrina Documentry on right now

Missed this the first time around, but just setup Tivo to record it next week. Looking forward to seeing it. I'll stay out of the until I watch everything...
  24. SOFA IDP draft complete

I always enjoy following this league. I'll have to wait until after work to look at the rosters though since MFL is blocked for me. Good luck Sarge!
  25. Team QB

I play in one league at work that uses Team QBs and I hate it. Definitely takes much of the strategy/planning away. I like having to weigh in the possibility of injuries and having a potential backup plan in place. It's no different that what every NFL GM deals with. If you draft an injury-prone player at any position, you need to have a solid backup that can step in if necessary. Why should the QB position be treated any differently?
