  1. Is this trade offer fair?

I totally understand your responses. I'm just trying to look towards the future. Both Collins and Green are getting old and I've heard nothing but good things from Leftwich on this site. If the Jax offense is going to go more vertical this year and if Byron is perfectly suited for that type of offense, why not try to get him for the future before he breaks out and becomes more difficult to obtain? Plus, how valuable is Brown right now if he's going to be sharing duties w/ Henry?
  2. Post your team names here

The Homestar Runners - Couldn't resist, I just love that web site!! Massamule - This was a childhood nickname my best friends dad would call me all the time...still have no idea where he got that from
  3. Is J.J.Arrington definitely the man in ARI?

I am really struggling w/ this one. I'm in a dynasty league and I have the #1.03 pick in the upcoming rookie/FA draft. I'm pretty sure Ronnie Brown and Caddy are going 1 and 2. That leaves me Cedric Benson and JJ Arrington to choose from. I know Benson isn't signed yet and when he does he may not see a lot of action this year considering Jones is still there. Arrington is in a great situation right now but I've HEARD he's been putting the "rock" on the ground in the preseason, though I haven't seen him play yet myself. I'm just having a hard time deciding who will be the better player during their entire career. I think I'm leaning towards Arrington right now just because Benson seems to be a bit of a head case and I hate having those guys on my team no matter how talented they are.
  4. Rank Em- K.Collins, T. Green, Kurt Warner

Wow, this is an easy one: Green Collins Warner I have both Green and Collins and will be trying to get Warner in my dynasty free agent draft just because both Collins and Green have the same bye weeks. I'd also like to trade Collins while his stock is so high. Things are going to fall apart in Oakland eventually...I mean seriously, its unavoidable.
  5. Wr Sleepers

Personally, I like Tyrone Calico and Samie Parker. I'm in a dynasty league and both of those guys are free agents that I'll be targeting in my draft coming up.
  6. I got some good advice from you guys in a trade offer that this same owner offered me a few days ago previous trade offer. I declined the trade offer but did say that maybe we could do something with Chris Brown for him, since he has Travis Henry. He replied that he was interested in talks. My questiion to you is this - who do you think is worthy of a trade for Chris Brown? This is a 12 man Dynasty league and he has the 1.01 and 2.01 picks in the rookie draft. We start: 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 D Here's our scoring: QB - 6pts TD, 250 yds+ 5 pts ( plus 1 pt every 50 additional yards) RB - 6pts TD, 100 yds+ 6pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) WR - 6pts TD, 75 yds+ 5pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) TE - 6 pts TD, 50 yds+ 5pts (plus 1 pt every 25 QQadditional yards) And here's my team QB Collins, Kerry OAK Green, Trent KCC McCown, Josh ARI (going to cut) RB Brown, Chris TEN Dunn, Warrick ATL Duckett, T.J. ATL Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC WR Branch, Deion NEP Burleson, Nate MIN Gaffney, Jabar HOU (going to cut) Holt, Torry STL Horn, Joe NOS TE Gonzalez, Tony KCC Here's his team: QB Favre, Brett GBP Leftwich, Byron JAC Rivers, Philip SDC RB Bettis, Jerome PIT Dillon, Corey NEP Henry, Travis TEN WR Boston, David MIA Burress, Plaxico NYG Driver, Donald GBP McCardell, Keenan SDC Patten, David WAS Randle El, Antwaan PIT Williams, Roy DET TE Franks, Bubba GBP Heap, Todd BAL K Janikowski, Sebastian D Buccaneers, Tampa Bay TBB
  7. Trade away chris brown?

These are great points. There are really two possibilities: 1. I could offer a trade of C Brown for his 1.01 draft pick. I don't know if he would do it. But taking a closer look at it, its what we both need. It would give him the strarter in Tenn and his back-up when Brown goes down. This would give him depth which is exactly what he was going to be using his 1.01 pick to acheive. This would also give me depth because it would allow me to get 2 of the top 4 rookie rbs becasue I also have the 1.03 pick in the rookie draft. A second option, and least desirable, would be to get Roy for C Brown straight up and possibly trade with another team that wants Burleson. The other team would "probably" be willing to trade their 1.04 pick for Burleson. This would leave me relatively unchanged at WR depth and also give me the opportunity to snag 2 of the top 4 rbs in the rookie draft. What do you think?
  8. Trade Proposal

Just got a trade propsal from another team asking me if I wanted to trade: Duckett, T.J. ATL RB Dunn, Warrick ATL RB Year 2005 Draft Pick 1.12 for Henry, Travis TEN RB Year 2005 Draft Pick 2.01. The draft picks are for our rookie draft because this is a dynasty league. I currently have the 1.03, 1.12, 2.05 draft spots in the first two rounds. I'm planning on using the first pick on JJ Arrington or C Benson to help out at RB. Personally, I like this because of the talent upgrade, yet I'm going from one RBBC to another. What do you guys think? We start: 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 D Here's our scoring: QB - 6pts TD, 250 yds+ 5 pts ( plus 1 pt every 50 additional yards) RB - 6pts TD, 100 yds+ 6pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) WR - 6pts TD, 75 yds+ 5pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) TE - 6 pts TD, 50 yds+ 5pts (plus 1 pt every 25 QQadditional yards) And here's my team QB Collins, Kerry OAK Green, Trent KCC McCown, Josh ARI (going to cut) RB Brown, Chris TEN Dunn, Warrick ATL Duckett, T.J. ATL Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC WR Branch, Deion NEP Burleson, Nate MIN Gaffney, Jabar HOU (going to cut) Holt, Torry STL Horn, Joe NOS TE Gonzalez, Tony KCC
  9. Just got an email from another guy (who happens to be a huge Chargers fan ) stating that he wanted L.T. and was wondering if he was tradable. I have the 1.3 pick in our rookie draft and I was going to use that to grab either Benson or Arrington. This is a 12-man dynasty league with our rules: We start: 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 D Here's our scoring: QB - 6pts TD, 250 yds+ 5 pts ( plus 1 pt every 50 additional yards) RB - 6pts TD, 100 yds+ 6pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) WR - 6pts TD, 75 yds+ 5pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) TE - 6 pts TD, 50 yds+ 5pts (plus 1 pt every 25 QQadditional yards) And here's my team QB Collins, Kerry OAK Green, Trent KCC McCown, Josh ARI (going to cut) RB Brown, Chris TEN Dunn, Warrick ATL Duckett, T.J. ATL Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC WR Branch, Deion NEP Burleson, Nate MIN Gaffney, Jabar HOU (going to cut) Holt, Torry STL Horn, Joe NOS TE Gonzalez, Tony KCC Here's his team QB Carson Palmer JP Losman Jake Plummer RB Willis McGahee Julius Jones Larry Johnson Michael Bennett WR Chad Johnson Jimmy Smith Muhsin Muhammed TE Antonio Gates Do you think I should offer him something, or say forget it? I was thinking McGahee, Palmer and Johnson for LT and another that I haven't decided on yet. What do you think?
  10. You make the call.....

Well, he didn't bite.... He said he likes his Palmer to C.J. connection too much and that he isn't a fan of the RBBC in Atlanta (that part I totally understand). We'll see if he counter-offers, but for now it looks like he was trying to get a bargain deal for the best fantasy football player out there.
  11. You make the call.....

Good advice to have him initiate the first move. I did that and he offered me Mcgahee and his 1.06 rookie draft spot. Well, I told him he was nuts and counter-offered this: LT, Collins, Dunn and Duckett for Mcgahee, J Jones and Palmer That would give me a solid starting backfield and a somewhat proven, high upside, young qb. What do you guys think?
  12. Alright, I know its early but I'm already pumped about this years fantasy football season. I just made a trade to get the 3rd pick in our 12 man dynasty rookie draft. I used to have #5 but we swapped picks plus I gave him D Bennett. Pretty sure the first two picks will be R. Brown(#1) and C. Williams(#2). Now that leaves me with JJ Arrington and C Benson. Which guy do you think I should take? I'm leaning towards Arrington because I've heard he's just in too good of a situation to pass up in Arizona. He's got a big and pretty good O-line and the system suits his style of play (at least thats what I've read). I don't know much about these guys because when it comes to college football, I pretty much have tunnel vision...I just like to watch the Badgers. Any input would be helpful. We start: 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 D Here's our scoring: QB - 6pts TD, 250 yds+ 5 pts ( plus 1 pt every 50 additional yards) RB - 6pts TD, 100 yds+ 6pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) WR - 6pts TD, 75 yds+ 5pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) TE - 6 pts TD, 50 yds+ 5pts (plus 1 pt every 25 QQadditional yards) And here's my team: QB Collins, Kerry OAK Green, Trent KCC McCown, Josh ARI (going to cut) RB Anderson, Richie (going to cut) Brown, Chris TEN Duckett, T.J. ATL Dunn, Warrick ATL Harris, Joey CAR (going to cut) Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC WR Branch, Deion NEP Burleson, Nate MIN Gaffney, Jabar HOU (going to cut) Holt, Torry STL Horn, Joe NOS TE Gonzalez, Tony KCC PK Brown, Kris HOU Feely, Jay NYG D Falcons, Atlanta ATL Panthers, Carolina CAR
  13. Whose Best

I agree. Lewis is the #1 by far, followed by Dillon. Portis and Deuce are pretty equivalent w/ TD totals - imo
  14. I'm in a 12 team dynasty league and another team offered me Rudi Johnson for N. Burleson and Chris Brown. I have the 5th, 12th and 17th pick in the fantasy free agent/ rookie draft coming up. We start: 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 D Here's our scoring: QB - 6pts TD, 250 yds+ 5 pts ( plus 1 pt every 50 additional yards) RB - 6pts TD, 100 yds+ 6pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) WR - 6pts TD, 75 yds+ 5pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) TE - 6 pts TD, 50 yds+ 5pts (plus 1 pt every 25 QQadditional yards) And here's my team: QB Collins, Kerry OAK Green, Trent KCC McCown, Josh ARI (going to cut) RB Anderson, Richie (going to cut) Brown, Chris TEN Duckett, T.J. ATL Dunn, Warrick ATL Harris, Joey CAR (going to cut) Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC WR Bennett, Drew TEN Branch, Deion NEP Burleson, Nate MIN Gaffney, Jabar HOU (going to cut) Holt, Torry STL Horn, Joe NOS TE Gonzalez, Tony KCC PK Brown, Kris HOU Feely, Jay NYG D Falcons, Atlanta ATL Panthers, Carolina CAR What do you guys think about the trade?
  15. Please help! New Dynasty trade offer

Speaking about the picks. Am I the only one that would be happy with getting Shelton at #5. I have no idea what the overall rankings are for all Rookie positions, but I would guess Shelton would come in at pick #5. I can't imagine a QB, WR or TE would crack the top 5 considering the teams these guys are going to. The only one I could see getting close to Shelton's #5 spot would be T Williamson ( and that's solely because of the team he joins). This trade offer has me stumped. I'm thinking about counter-offering: Brown, Burleson and pick 1.05 for K. Jones, B. Lloyd and pick 1.4. This guy really wants Burleson bad, too bad the only guys he has that I would want are Rudi, Harrison and Kevin Jones.
  16. Please help! New Dynasty trade offer

Who said I was desperate to get Rudi?!? Look at my last post - I said I wasn't sure about Rudi. But I may be even more unsure of Brown (with the injuries and all, plus a possible trade to get Henry, Brown's future is very risky right now).
  17. Please help! New Dynasty trade offer

Alright... I counter-offered this: Brown and pick 1.05 for Rudi. Or Brown and (Branch/pick1.12) for Rudi He countered w/ this: Brown, Burleson and pick 1.05 for Rudi, B. Lloyd and pick 1.04 I think he really likes Burleson This looks better though, for some reason or another I'm just not real high on Rudi. I don't know why that is but I'm also having trouble letting go of Burleson. What do you guys think of this latest offer?
  18. I'm in a 12 team dynasty league and another team offered me M. Harrison and pick 2.12 for N. Burleson and pick 1.05. I'm a little leary of this trade because I like where I stand so far at nearly all positions. I wanted to use the 1.05 pick for best available rookie RB (Arrington or Shelton) and my 1.12 pick (acquired through previous trade) for H. Miller -TE or another RB. Here's our scoring: QB - 6pts TD, 250 yds+ 5 pts ( plus 1 pt every 50 additional yards) RB - 6pts TD, 100 yds+ 6pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) WR - 6pts TD, 75 yds+ 5pts ( plus 1 pt every 25 additional yards) TE - 6 pts TD, 50 yds+ 5pts (plus 1 pt every 25 QQadditional yards) And here's my team: QB Collins, Kerry OAK Green, Trent KCC McCown, Josh ARI (going to cut) RB Anderson, Richie (going to cut) Brown, Chris TEN Duckett, T.J. ATL Dunn, Warrick ATL Harris, Joey CAR (going to cut) Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC WR Bennett, Drew TEN Branch, Deion NEP Burleson, Nate MIN Gaffney, Jabar HOU (going to cut) Holt, Torry STL Horn, Joe NOS TE Gonzalez, Tony KCC PK Brown, Kris HOU Feely, Jay NYG D Falcons, Atlanta ATL Panthers, Carolina CAR What do you guys think about the trade?
  19. Dynasty leahue trade offer

Whoa! I didn't think Shelton at 5 would make me a fool! Everything I've heard about him is pretty positive. He has 2 aging and fragile starters in front of him. Not to mention the fact that even if they are healthy, he's going to be the goal line back right away because he's impressed the coaches so far in camps. He could easily be a great bye week filler this year, and who knows next year, he could be the starter. That's a pretty good pick for 1.5 in a dynasty league if you ask me.
  20. Dynasty leahue trade offer

So far I totally agree that having a WR corp of Holt, Horn, Harrison would look pretty nice on paper. The one thing I am having a little problem seeing is my need for a 2nd RB. I do already have C. Brown and when he is healthy he's a pretty darn good #2 back. When he's not healthy I have Dunn/Duckett to fill in. I was just thinking that I could find a prospect in this years rookie draft that I could plug in from time to time this year, but more importantly have around in years to come( such as a Shelton who should see plenty of goal line carries this year, and who knows what kind of action if Davis and Foster are injured). That being said I offered a trade to another team to try to get S. Jackson. I was thinking a trade like Dunn and Duckett for Jackson. Or even D and D including my #1.12 draft spot for Jackson. I haven't heard back yet. We'll see what he thinks. I would just hate to see Burleson have a great year/career and Harrison continue to tail off due to age and emergence of other qualified options for Manning to throw to. Thanks for your input so far!
  21. Dynasty leahue trade offer

    starting lineup requirements are: 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 D
  22. Trade Offer

Another guy in my 12 man dynasty league has offered this to me: W. Dunn and his second round pick (#2.03) for D. Bennett The draft spot is in essentially a rookie draft along with free agent vets that are not currently on anyone's team. My roster (the guys I'm going to keep anyway are: QB T Green K Collins RB LT C. Brown TJ Duckett WR T Holt J Horn N Burleson D Branch D Bennett TE T Gonzalez J Witten K Brown Feely D Falcons Panthers We start : 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D/ST Now, the draft starts out 1-12, then goes 1-12 again. After the first two rounds it then goes serpentine. I have the #5 spot. That means I currnetly have #5 and #17 in the first 2 rounds. If this trade goes through, I would have #5, #15 and #17. What do you guys think?
  23. Another trade offer

I didn't even have time to really consider the first two offers, now he sent me this one which I think is the better of the three: A guy in my 12 man dynasty league has offered this to me: W. Dunn and his first round pick (#1.12) for J. Witten The draft spot is in essentially a rookie draft along with free agent vets that are not currently on anyone's team. If this trade goes through, I would have #5, #12 and #17. What do you guys think?
  24. Another trade offer

Done and Done. I made the trade. I guess I was a little apprehensive because I love having depth number one and also because the other team needed another TE so bad. Thanks for all of your responses!
  25. Trade Offer

Brand new offer. This is the email message from the same owner that I got today. Would you give up Burleson, Bennett and pick 1.05 for Marvin Harrison and pick 2.06? Should I take the first offer or the second? Or should I flat out turn down both? Thanks for all the advice so far! I never make a move w/out first consulting my fellow Huddlers first!
