  1. I know  guy who always tries to trade where he gets a big benefit.  He pisses people off at times but there are time where an owner might do the trade.  I hate when he gets over on someone but its that owners fault for falling prey and not being up to the level they should be.

I don't play in Yahoo leagues or a league where I don't know the people in the league or I compete in leagues with Huddlers, Footballguys, FFWarroom or people who know what they are doing.

  2. Kind of concerns me that you had "a few" trades last year that warranted sending to a 3rd party.  At best it should be 1 time a year but even that is too much.   You peaked my interest to see what trades qualified.  Email me at  I'll take a look.  As long as I am not getting something every week I could potentially help you out.

  3. In my opinion no trade should be vetoed unless there is a sense of collusion.  If someone makes a stupid trade than they make a stupid trade.  Hopefully they learn from being taken advantage of and make a better decision the next time.  Now if there was team purposefully making another team better than the league should vote.  If people are being spiteful and stopping a trade, do you really want them in the league?

  4. PAFFL was a league started 17 years ago and was a league made up of Huddler's from the Philadelphia area and has always been a live (face to face) draft.  This is a semi-keeper league where you can keep up to 3 players from the prior year as long as 1 of them is a rookie otherwise you can keep 2 players.  Players kept occupy the round where they were drafted going into future years.  This is a league of 12 teams and we have 1 opening.  The team open is as follows:

Rhino from the Huddle boards used to be in the league and flew from Colorado to come the draft.

Right now we are made up of HUddlers and some people from FBG's boards.  We use Leaguesafe for payments and payouts and it can be through e-check or Credit card.

We are a little more than a week away from the draft.  I can send you all of the rules if you have an interest.

MIT - I participate in several IDP dynasty leagues where we just draft rookies.  Below is a list of the rounds where rookie IDP were drafted.  These picks were intermixed with offensive players (rookies only).  A number of old time Huddlers are in this league...It is a group of long time FF players who are very good at what they do.  Hope this helps.  PM me if you have any questions or want to chat.  I have been doing IDP leagues for more than 15 years now.

I got him in the 6th round in the Interboard League Draft 2 weeks ago and now he's going in the 4th in the current 3 drafts. There is one more 3 draft coming up and I'm sure he'll be in the 4-5th round category. I think I got a steal in the 6th.

Nice to see the Interboard League still going.  I participated in the 1st 2 Interboard years.  Thought it kicked the bucket years ago.

  7. I have been running a semi-keeper league for close to 10 years which was one of the first Huddle leagues to have a live draft. In this league you are allowed to trade future draft picks for players in and out of season.

Once you set this as potential for your owners you open yourself up to letting owners do as they wish. Players who will not be keepers the following years don't have as much value as players that can be kept. Even if it is a Brady. However, players going for the playoffs will value 1 year players higher then others.

Unfortunately, unless it is something totally off the wall you have to allow your owners to make the trades as they see fit. Brady for a 6th round pick could be considered reasonable. I'd try to get more but if I were out of the playoffs and playing for next year I would want the right to trade him for the value I am looking for. Brady for a 17th round pick? Well that would be nixed.

From experience, if you don't allow your owners to trade for future picks and it is in the rules that they can, you will lose your owners. I would be happy to discuss this further...feel free to email me.

  8. The Philadelphia Area Fantasy Football League is entering it's 9th year. This league is made up of Local area Fantasy football owners in the Philly area who frequently post on any of the 3 major boards (Huddle, Footballguys or FFToday). In the first 8 years we have only had 2 re-peat champions due to the competitiveness of this league.

The league fees are $ 100 with an additional $ 12 for each owner as we use MFL and a Stand up draft board for easy use. Our league site for you to review is This is a 3 player keeper league as long as 1 player is a rookie from the prior year otherwise an owner can only keep 2 players. We reward good drafting in this league for keepers so if you draft well and happen to draft Jones-Drew in the 13th round then he will be your 13th round keeper year in and year out unless you trade or drop him.

Standard decimal scoring and we are a PPR league as well. Our league message board at the Huddle is Please feel free to review our league site and posting board.

  9. Once again it is time for Huddlers to step up to the challenge of joining the Team representing the Huddle Boards in a competition between 8 Fantasy Football Web site Message Boards. This year there is a drastic change as we will have 1 league of 8 boards. The participant boards include:

TheHuddle, Footballguys, FFToday, The Sports Outlaw, The Whiz, Fantasy Guru, FF Extreme and FF Live Wire

Each website picks 12 members from their boards to represent the website in a competition against each other. That’s right fellas and ladies, 96 teams in 1 league, the ultimate in competition and football acumen. So how does it work you might ask?

There are 8 separate drafts. Each of these 8 drafts have a minimum of 1 participants from each of the 8 boards with the max from anyone 1 board being 2 participants from any 1 board. These 8 drafts are spread out over a 3 week period and the draft is through MFL and a slow draft (timer between 8 to 12 hours).

What makes this league unique is the fact that you can trade in and out of your original draft and can trade in and out of any of the 8 drafts. The only rule being that you can not own 2 of the same player (you can’t own 2 Adrian Peterson’s of the Vikings). There is a possibility that you could be drafting in all 8 drafts based on your trades. It is also possible that the Huddle Team could own all 8 Adrian Peterson’s as with 8 drafts means there are 8 Peterson’s to be drafted.

Each Huddler owner drafts whom ever they want and you will be playing 7 teams each week (1 each from the other boards) once the season begins. However, as much as FF is an individual sport, this league is not just an individual accomplishment you are part of the Huddle Team.

In the 9 years of existence The Huddle team has won the Team championship more than any other board in this league (we have won 3 times).

The 2009 representatives of the league will be:.

    Wolverines - Will be returning

Budlitebrad (Those Guys) – Will be returning

    StormChasers – Will be returning

    Memphis– will be returning

    LosGatos – Will be returning

Soaring Eagle - Will be joining the team in 2009

TFord - Will be joining the team in 2009

Infinity - Will be joining the team in 2009

Crippler - Will be joining the team in 2009

Goopster - Will be joining the team in 2009

BPWallace49 - Will be joining the team in 2009

Washington D - Is able to do the league if needed but would like to see if we can find a replacement

Therefore I am looking for 1 Huddler to replace Washington D and perhaps 1 or 2 others who would be able to help out if needed.

There is no fee to join this league, what is required is that you are able to dedicate a fair amount of your time, particularly between the last week of July and the last week of August. The 8 drafts run during this time and you will want to dedicate a good amount of time to seek out trades, make trades and make your picks. Additionally, this is a team and we have our own private posting boards to discuss strategy, players we like/dislike and help each other to get all 12 of our teams as strong as possible because in the end we want to kick the sh!t out of every other board and win the championship for the Huddle boards.

This is your chance to compete against very knowledgeable FFers as you do with Huddler’s but now we get to show the FF world that The Huddle has the best knowledge on the web. To give you an idea on some of the competition, FBG has some of their writers on the FBG team. This would be like playing against DD or WW from The Huddle.

Post your interest here and e-mail me at with the subject titled (I am interested in IBL for the Huddle) In your e-mail send me some of your FF experience and if you have played in any BOTH leagues.

If you’ve been boasting that you are a great FF player and you think you’ve got the knowledge to compete against the best, than we want you on this team.

Please feel free to ask any addition questions you might have and I will answer them for you. Oh…scoring is basic scoring with PPR (we just added PPR last year).

  10. As an update:

It looks as though Perch and Budlite may not be back as I have yet to hear form them. Memphis is trying to best to come back and will give me an update on June 5th. I have asked that all 2008 members get in touch with me by June 5th or I will have to move on. Thus far I have asked the following owners to take part on the Huddle team:

    Soaring Eagle

    Washington D

I also e-mailed Goopster, Irish and suckmyvick as they have all expressed interest in the past. Goopster wants in and he will get the next spot as he showed interest in previoius years. BPWallace is new to the Huddle so I'd like to give those that expressed an interest in IBL previously the first shot before I include BP on the team.

If we do lose Perch and Memphis and Rez which could happen, I believe we will have a good team with those that are on the team now and those that have expressed interest. I will keep you updated on progress of the team.

  11. Long time ago Huddler who used to play for the Warroom till they expired. I am very interested in trying my hand again at this league and taking down FFToday and FBG

Long time Huddler who I know very well and asked if he'd be interested in coming back to the IBL. It would be good to have someone who knows this league well and someone who trades like a madman in this league.
