can you drop another bench player at a different position?
That's a really touch one. Tate only holds true value if Foster goes down. Ball will always be in some type of timeshare.
Blount may only provide value this week. You have nobody else to drop? Likely you will be dropping Blount next week or the week after.
If I had to chose today and you want Blount I would drop Ball.
No we can only roster 4 RBs max and I have Alf, Gore, Tate and Ball. I had drafted ball to be my backup but that never materialized.
-
I drafted Ball in the 4th rd (6th in redraft leagues) and we have a rule that you can have a 3rd keeper for the nexts year if you draft a rookie and keep him on your roster all year. With Alf on bye I have Tate and Ball as my options. Blount is out there and I think a better option than either of those guys so I need to decide who to cut.
Based on performance Ball should go however I would like some thoughts on what people think his value will be going forward. Will he ever get a shot? I know Fox loves his vets so he may never get significant time this year and who knows about next.
Also in the mix I drafted Kenbrell Thompkins in the 6th (8th in redraft) so I can just use the rookie keeper lock on him however if Ball has a chance to shine I'd rather lock a RB over WR.

Alf on bye and Tate and Montee fumBall are my backups. Blount is out there so i'm trying to decide who to drop for Blount. I want to hold onto Ball because we have a rule that if you draft a rookie you can have him as a third keeper the next year so trying to hold onto him to see if he gets a shot later in the season. At the same time I would think Tate still holds more value than Ball and I should drop him. I also drafted Thompkins so I could always use a rookie lock on him
half ppr performance scoring

I'm in the exact same boat. Alf on bye and Tate and Monte fumBall are my backups. Blount is out there so i'm trying to decide who to drop for Blount. I want to hold onto Ball because we have a rule that if you draft a rookie you can have him as a third keeper the next year so trying to hold onto him to see if he gets a shot later in the season. Don't want to hijack this thread but would appreciate thoughts on who to drop?

Not liking my draft at all. Waited way too long on a QB, want expecting some to take backups. A number of guys went a few before me that I was targeting. I guess we will see how it turns out

Drink one for me!

12 man is drafting too FYI.
Excited for another run at this

Do your keepers cost you a draft pick? Is it related to when you drafted them? This makes a big difference.
No sorry about leaving that out. It doesn't cost us anything. We started this 13 yrs ago and I've tried to get something like that in place but the league is like a bunch of ultra conservatives with our keeper rules.
So it's literally who do I think will help me build the best team. I'm taking Alf because if I don't then I will be drafting CJ2K as my RB1. May not be a bad thing but just not sure about hiim.
Knowing the guys in my league if I don't keep Ryan or draft him 1st rd then he, Cam, and Romo could very likely be gone by my 2nd pick so I would have to wait on QB and settle for a Stafford, Bradford, Cutler, Colin K, or Eli as my starter. Maybe I'm just placing too much value on QBs since 6 of the top 9 are already off the board (2 on one team).
Another thought would be instead of Alf & AJ/Cruz just do Alf and Ryan and then take the top available WR which will be Cruz, AJ, Cobb, possibly VJax
-
I'm thinking I'm just going to keep Morris and Ryan and draft best WR at my spot: AJ, VJax, Cruz, Cobb. then i have a stud at 3 positions and can go with best WR or RB in the 2nd round. I drafted Ryan in the 4th rd last year but there's 3 more QBs kept then last year so I think he'll go earlier than that this time around.
-
we are a 12 team 2 keeper league with performance scoring with half ppr (scoring in sig line). My options i'm mulling over for keepers which I have to decide today are
AJ
Cruz
Alf Morris
Matt Ryan
Now I'm pretty sure I am keeping Morris so I need to decide between Cruz and Johnson. They are pretty much ranked the same so hoping for some peoples thoughts on both of them.
It's possible I keep both of them or even Ryan due to i'm rather sure either CJ2K or Alf will fall to me in the first round, however with the large number of elite QBs already kept Ryan will go in the early 2nd round (which is the 4th in redraft). Only thing that could hose it up if a 3rd RB is taken before my pick.
Rd 1 draft position and their keepers
1 - RB, RB
2 - RB, WR, QB (rookie keeper lock)
3 - RB, RB
4 - RB, WR, QB
5 - RB, QB, QB (2nd qb is rookie keeper lock)

Thinking about Cruz and AJ and taking the chance that Alf gets back to me. maybe I'm clinging on to last yrs team but I think I like AJ and Cruz better than the likes of Bowe, Wayne, Colston, Welker.
Will edit original post but we start 3 WR and 2 RBs for what it's worth. No flex.
-
12 team half ppr performance league we have 2 keepers and I need to choose 2 of Alf Morris, Victor Cruz, and Andre Johnson.
I have Alf ranked mid 2nd tier and AJ and Cruz right beside each other upper tier 2. I draft 6th and here's the top backs and WRs that are available for draft:
Ray Rice - will probably go #1
Chris Johnson
Reggie Bush
Steven Jackson
Sproles
Gore
Miller
Andre Brown
Ridley
Marshall - probably go #1 or #2
Demaryius Thomas
Cobb
Bowe
VJax
Wayne
Colston
Welker
Nelson
Antonio Brown
Aside from Ray Rice Alf is better than the available RBs to draft. You could argue Cruz and AJ fall in the top 5 of what's available. I'm thinking that Alf may have a better chance falling back to me than my WRs. Looking for some thoughts here on this. if it helps here's the keepers for first 5 draft slots. I think the first 6 picks will be WR heavy.
1 - Lynch, DMC
2 - Charles, Bryant, R Wilson
3 - Forte, Bradshaw
4 - Murray, Roddy White, Luck
5 - Spiller, Peyton, RG3
Here's the rest of the keepers
Fitzgerald, Graham
Brees, Julio, TRich
Brady, McCoy
Rodgers, Foster, Martin
Calvin, Cam
Peterson, AJ Green
edit: we start 2 RBs and 3 WRs no flex.

This was funny prior to the team winning two super bowls and playing in three over the last 7 years. I think most teams would be o.k. with that. From 1980-2005, all the fans had to brag about were the 70's.
coudn't say it better myself.

paypal just sent. Thanks guys!

In for 4 thanks for doing this again!

picked up Ingram this AM and started him over Bryce Brown. yeah my RB2 is that bad.
-
I wish my opponent had played baltimore instead. I've always got next year...
-
I went up against SEA. I'll be crying in a corner for weeks.
-
I'm leaning GB but the weather is worrying me. Any other thoughts? Despite the matchup I hate starting STL in 2 road games
-
You guys think it downgrades GB def for sure then? I was gonna pick them up to play this week but may just stick with STL.
BTW I've got Stafford in one league and Megatron in 2 and I'm rolling with both of them
-
I wish I could pick up CLE and thats sad...
-
Thanks guys. Anyone else?
