  1. Barbaro

Wow....can't believe this thread hasn't been euthanized yet.
  2. Barbaro

Strike first....strike hard....show no mercy. "Sweep the leg!" Unfortunately, Barbaro didn't have Mr. Miagi to help make a miraculous recovery from that like Daniel Laruso did.
  3. Barbaro

    How about Adrienne Barb-a-beau
  4. Barbaro

This just may be the dark horse for thread of the year!
  5. Barbaro

    ...of course

AND DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME.....
  7. Barbaro

Bingo! To the owners, he was nothing more than an investment. They are crying over lost $$$.
  8. Barbaro

I know you're chomping at the bit to defend yourself. But your point of view has been noted. You're beating a dead horse.
  9. Skanska to build new Giants/Jets stadium

I doubt the new stadium will be called Giants Stadium. They will need to sell the naming rights to help pay for the $1.4 billion price tag.
  10. I don't care who wins the SB...

Peyton is a great QB, but he usually makes a few big mistakes in a game and the Bears D will capitalize on them big time. I think the Colts win, but the Bears cover.
  11. I don't think #8 is all that dumb of a question

#15 Broncos FB Detron Smith: "What size panties do you think you'd wear?"
  12. People Seem to love this movie, I hate it

Well, I guess I can't say you have bad taste in movies. I enjoyed every movie on your list and The Godfather is also my favorite movie. But of the movies I've seen this past year, The Departed was probably my favorite. With honorary mention going to Little Miss Sunshine, Lucky Number Slevin, and The Illusionist.
  13. People Seem to love this movie, I hate it

One of the worst movies you've seen in years? Wow! I'd like to see your list of movies you actually liked.
  14. Blockbuster Total Access VS Netflix

With Blockbuster, not only do you get free in-store rentals with your returns, but you can use the monthly free-rental coupon they send you to rent video games! That's at least a $10 value right there for you video game players.
  15. winners this weekend

Saints - under Colts - under
  16. Let's be honest.....

The AFC was definitely better than the NFC this year. But the top two seeds in the AFC are gone while the top two seeds in the NFC are still playing. I think the Saints or the Bears can beat either remaining AFC team.
  17. Any one else hoping for a Bears win

The worst possible matchup would be Bears/Pats. A SB XX rematch! I think everyone is tired of seeing the Pats win and I for one don't want to see the Super Bowl Shuffle: Part Deux. Although if it did happen, I'd like to see the Pats get their revenge.
  18. Eagles Fans...enjoy...

    ....or Vince Papale!
  19. The Conspiracy Theorist

Yeah, but the Yankee dynasty ended after 9/11 when they lost to the D-Backs in the Series. If there ever was a time everyone, even Yankee haters, wanted a team to win, it was that year. Didn't happen though.
  20. maybe i missed it but ....

???? Hell if I know. I thought the bet was for the Eagles helmet as the avatar and "Giants Suck" as the sig. I think I got it right unless I missed something.
  21. maybe i missed it but ....

Lot's of changes coming next season. A new GM, a new starting RB, and hopefully a new head coach. FI - RE COUGH - LIN!!! Congrats Eagles and good luck the rest of the way.
  22. Oh Cowboyz1! Come out and Play-EEE-Ay!

Not a fan of either team, but the topic title made me laugh. Nice reference from "The Warriors".
  23. Old school cartoon themes

They need to come out with that entire series on DVD!
  24. maybe i missed it but ....

I'm thinking this is a sucker bet the way these two teams have played lately, but I will join in and stand behind my G-Men this week. I'm in for Avi & Sig.
  25. worst team to win a Superbowl?

WIDE RIGHT!!! They had a great team that year. They started off 9-0 if I remember. The week 11 Monday Night game against the 49ers was billed as Super Bowl XXIV1/2. But they both lost in week 10 to ruin the matchup of unbeatens. The only reason they were such big underdogs that postseason was because Simms got hurt late in the year. Hostetler came in and they didn't miss a beat. You've got to give them credit for beating a great 49er team in SF for the NFC Championship and shutting down the unstoppable no-huddle offense of Jim Kelly and the Bills. They may not have been as exciting as the 86 team, but they had the formula to win a championship. A great defense and a mistake free, clock controlling offense. I think they may be the only team to average less than 1 turnover a game for the entire season.
