  1. Brown or Maroney for this season

I have to go with Maroney here. Brown as a very solid back, but I just don't see the big play talent that Maroney has.
  2. The Huddle Priority News

You guys followed the Curtis Martin and Dominck Davis sagas throughout the offseason, right? I don't know about you, but I see a lot of similarities. If you're hurting at RB, beat the rush and pick up Ryan Moats while the rest of your leaguemates are focused on Westy and Buckhalter.
  3. Randy Moss to Jags?

I never thought I would say this as a Jags homer and staunch critic of their offense, but the passing game is actually starting to develop some chemistry. I think a big part of Leftwich's problem in the past is that he kept looking for Jimmy Smith and wasn't going through his progressions. This year, he's finding everyone because no one really stands out. It's one of those cases where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Bringing in a guy like Moss would probably set us back two years at this point.
  4. Am I giving up too much to get Torry Holt?

You're still getting what I consider to be the best WR in fantasy football. Do it. I've been riding Coles in one of my leagues, but I don't know if Pennington and Coles can keep up this pace and/or stay healthy over the course of an entire season.
  5. Block Buster Trade

If you can do Tiki/Westbrook for LJ/K. Jones or even LJ/Dunn, I would consider it. I'm sorry, but Westy just isn't gonna make it. I say he gets shut down sometime in the next two to three weeks in order to get that knee taken care of. You get the upgrade with LJ over Tiki and you secure a third back to start in your flex spot.
  6. Trade advice

I like that deal. You're sellling high on Colston and getting a very solid RB in McGahee. With the problems that Edge is having and the uncertainly you're facing with Westbrook's knee, you could really use the help at RB. You've got plenty of depth at WR without Colston.
  7. Make trade?

Don't kid yourself. It's as much a downgrade at RB as it is an upgrade at WR, maybe even more given Owens' unpredictability. I think you'll be fine with Holt, Jennings and Bryant this week and you could do a lot worse than Evans as your 3rd WR. When Driver and Stallworth return (I don't think either one will miss more than a couple of games), you'll be glad you stuck with what you have.
  8. -12 Team Keeper League -Can keep up to 6 players each year but limited by position to starting roster requirements -Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF -Standard scoring with bonuses at 100 yards rushing or receiving and 300 yards passing My Team: QB: Farve, Delhomme RB: Edge, Gore, K. Jones, Maroney, Norwood WR: Wayne, Coles, Mason, Jennings, C. Henry TE: Gonzo, Scaffe K: Longwell DEF: Colts I've been offered either Javon Walker/Chris Brown or Roy Williams/Chris Brown for Edge/Jennings. I can probably get him to do either Walker or Williams straight up for Edge or throw him Mason instead. Thoughts? I know I could be in worse shape at WR, but I'm just not sure the crew I have will keep me competitive over the course of the entire season, and at this point, it's a toss up of which two RBs to start each week. My team is currently 3-1 if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance.
  9. KEEPER league

I wouldn't trade Brown for Bush. I think people have severely underestimated McAllister and what a fixture he is on that offense. I haven't seen any evidence so far that Bush should be the featured back.
  10. Edge for Javon Walker or Roy Williams?

Thanks guys. Jennings is off the table, so now it's a question of either trading Edge for Walker straight up or standing pat.
  11. Trade? or not to trade?

I would. You won't miss Jordan, and Brown and Bryant are too inconsistent to be every week starters.
  12. Offered Mason/Gore for CJ/F.Taylor

I would definitely do it for Wayne/Gore. I'm not sure about Mason/Gore. I was very high on Mason, but the Ravens defense is killing his value.
  13. Would you do this trade

I agree and I'm really not worried about Fitz and Boldin. They got it done with all kinds of journeyman QBs throwing to them in the past. Here's an interesting stat for you on Owens: He has missed practically every game in the fantasy playoffs for the past four seasons straight.
  14. I think it's a fair trade, but I think you're better off with Jones and Chambers unless you're got a very good corps of WRs.
  15. 4-0 teams

-12 Team League -Standard Scoring (6 points for all TDs) -Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF -Drafted 3rd overall Position/Player/Round: QB: McNabb (5th), Farve (FA) RB: Tomlinson (1st), Parker (2nd), McAllister (6th), Norwood (FA) WR: Harrison (3rd), Walker (4th), Glenn (7th), K. Johnson (11th), Bryant (12th) TE: Watson (8th), Cooley (FA) K: Stover (FA) DEF: Cincinnati (13th) Busts (so far): Wali Lundy (9th), Ben Troupe (10th), Jeff Reed (14th), Vernon Morency (15th) 4-0 and leading the league in scoring!
  16. -12 Team Keeper League -Standard performance scoring with bonuses for 100 yards rushing and receiving -Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF -Can keep six with a max of 2 RB and 3 WR Current Roster: QB: Farve, Delhomme RB: Edge, Gore, K. Jones, Maroney, Norwood WR: Wayne, Coles, Mason, Jennings, C. Henry TE: Gonzo, Scaffe K: Longwell DEF: Colts, Bengals Should I look to trade Edge, Gore, or K. Jones for an upgrade at WR? If so, what WRs should I target? Some potential opportunities include Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Javon Walker and Roy Williams.
  17. What can I get for Edge, Gore, or K. Jones?

Okay, I put some feelers out to the CJ owner to see if he has any interest in trading for Edge. His RBs are LJ, Westbrook, Foster, and Travis Henry, so between Westbrook's injury situation and Foster's inconsistency, he could definitley use the help. He has CJ, Owens, Reggie Williams, and Joey Galloway at WR, so we'll see what happens.

I don't think you can miss with any of those defenses. I just dropped the Bengals and picked up the Chiefs myself, but I like your logic with respect to the Saints. One word of caution though: Is there ANYONE else you can drop besides the Atlanta D? They're getting some of their key defenders back and they could end up being a Top Five fantasy unit.
  19. Man, that's a STEAL. Take Jennings and M. Turner so you're covered if LT goes down and then pick up a QB. You've got plenty to choose from, but I would probably take Pennington. Then try to package either Pennington or Delhomme and one of your RBs for a BIG upgrade at QB. If you're worried about trading away a RB, let me ask you two questions: 1) Are you ever going to bench LT? 2) If LT gets injured are you ever going to bench Turner? In other words, you can afford to trade Brown, Gore, or Jones for an upgrade at QB.
  20. QB for WR

Jennings for Pennington sounds good if he'll bite. Jennings is having a pretty good game tonight, so this is a good time to make a deal. If he pushes back, then offer him Driver and keep Jennings.
  21. Need bye week TE for Watson

Watson has been a big disapointment and it looks like the Redskins offense is starting to gel, so if you don't want to drop any other players on your roster and you can get Cooley, go for it. Watson is my starter in one league and I just picked up Cooley to back him up. However, I may be starting Cooley as soon as this week.
  22. Need a second RB

Definitely Taylor/Moss for Gore. That's a great way to get rid of two headaches for an upside player. I know Gore's value has slid a bit, but a lot of that's due to the 49ers falling way behind in both games.
  23. Make this trade

There is NO WAY I would do that deal.

This looks like a trade that makes sense for both teams. I would probably do it, but I should warn you that as a Jags homer, I'm biased AGAINST Reggie Williams. The guy looked like a total bust his first two seasons, so it's going to take a long time before I trust him.
  25. Been Offered Edge

When it's all said and done, I think Edge and Kevin Jones will finish with similar stats, so I guess it depends on who you're the most comfortable with and how deep your bench is. If you're a little shallow at RB, then it might be worth doing the deal to pick up Williams.
