  1. Mission Accomplished

Most of that $500 billion has gone to no-bid contracts. Every individual soldier's bag of laundry costs the taxpayer $100. Yeah, $100. That's what KBR charge you. There are a lot of people getting seriously mad rich off this.
  2. Let's talk about the Metal

Definitely my favorite. A vicious lambasting of effete rich white folks flirting with communism.
  3. idiots disagree with MaDonna

I suspect the link is supposed to prove something but what I don't know.
  4. This day in history

They started this one long noodle at a show in Kentucky in 1963 and finally finished it off at a show in Brisbane in 1974. We know this because the audience was the exact same people for both shows.
  5. Attn HAG Commishes

I answered the phone but all I got was a load of static......which is what you would expect in HAG.
  6. Best in his sport

Pele in soccer might dispute the gap thing. No-one will ever break his goals records, not even get halfway there.
  7. This day in history

Surely the Grateful Dead never played any concerts lasting less than 36 hours, so technically it would be This Day (And Tomorrow) In History, wouldn't it?
  8. Michael Vick's Property Raided again

You need to own a property to get a permit (or be an authorized contractor) but I guess that may vary from state to state. Certainly if you're installing business facilities (which is what these kennels would be) you'd need a permit.
  9. Michael Vick's Property Raided again

Indicators are he's a big-time better on the fights. Excellent point about the permits too - I would imagine the Feds are following that to it's conclusion.
  10. WalMart Oil Change

Why would anyone think a company that chooses to call itself PepBoys would be a quality merchant?
  11. For anyone curious about Rex Grossman...

Plus he has an unfortunate ego problem. At least, that was what I observed. I still think he should have the opportunity to lead the Bears into 2007 but the leash will have to be short. I'll willingly sacrifice all those 100+ QB ratings if we can also lose the 0-30 ratings too.
  12. WalMart Oil Change

Bingo. I can't afford the yard service yet but in principle this is exactly my point about cost benefit analysis of paying for service vs. using your own free time.
  13. WalMart Oil Change

Wanna bet the oil is total crap?
  14. linksys router question

    True 'nuff. Could be dialup.
  15. Superbowl Matchup 2007

You just can't help yourself, can you?
  16. Attention Vista users.....

Not surprised, given the almost complete rejection of Vista by corporations.
  17. WalMart Oil Change

Bingo. I do a CBA vs. my time on most of these things and paying someone to do chit comes out on top almost all the time.
  18. linksys router question

Of course, there's always the problem that if his router isn't working, it's tough to go download chit....... One of the things that infuriates me about those recorded messages from the cable company. "If your system isn't working, try our technical support at www......" F'n tools.
  19. Michael Vick's Property Raided again

I would rather draft the Minnesota Vikings third string guy as my starting QB than that turd Vick.
  20. Prince Fans

  21. Interesting work issue

This is the right course, IMO, as long as you're confident enough in your relationship. Since the ?? shows up in internal email, it is definitely not a compatibility issue between email systems, assuming you are all on the same system, unless he really does compose email in some other system e.g. Word, but I know no-one who does that. What's the point?
  22. Michael Vick's Property Raided again

Bill, I would give up responding to that cretin. If you want an argument, try one of the many Huddlers with a functioning brain cell. Broncos doesn't qualify.
  23. I'm Finally Out Of the Dark Ages....

4 MB of RAM??? When I were a lad....... My first 32MB HD cost me over $600!
  24. WalMart Oil Change

Good info here. On a side note, this is why I prefer specialist companies for tasks at work e.g. external network vulnerability scanning - they do one thing and they do it extremely well because they have to. I don't use firms that do things as a sideline.
