  1. Attention Chicagoland Huddlers

It was the nearest thing to a sheep in the whole restaurant.
  2. Attention Chicagoland Huddlers

As always, it's a good day when you get to hang with the spainster - not to mention rr and gil. I would've liked to have stayed longer, but you all know that the belly that carries the baby is the belly that rules the world. Mrs Chavez was a trooper though - drove all the way home and didn't complain a bit. I fell asleep before we hit Wisconsin. Maybe next year more of the pansies who are afraid to come out from behind their keyboards will show up.

    :insert racist joke here:
  4. Saints Logo

It's a fact, the Saints have a f*ckin' FLOWER on their helmet.
  5. drink shots

Jobu - tequila and Malibu - surprisingly very good and smooth, while not in the "chick shot" category.
  6. Terrorist Douchebag Caught

I'm guessing he kept falling down while in police custody.
  7. My house is in a war zone

Well, not really, but it sounds like it every July 4th. I have one city shooting off their fireworks about a mile SW of my house, and another shooting them off about a mile due north (the best part is I live in a different city than either). It's pretty cool.
  8. Tour de France

I just read The Rider by Tim Krabbe, and he had the nugget that a true racer "licks his opponent's plate clean before his own." Apparently Az already has the TdF mentaility in full gear.
  9. Who works commission only?

I was talking to someone about this as well this evening - just keep your head down, and talk to people; if your mortgage is better than others, all you need to do is keep out there. A "no" isn't the opposite of "yes" - a "no" is a roadblock on the way to "yes". (yeah, cliche time)
  10. AC/DC is best served loud

IMO Back in Black is the pinnacle of their few worthwhile things post-Bon.
  11. My 4th starts out with a BANG!

I can't afford a new car (well, I CAN but that's beside the point) but I can pay for collision insurance. Sheik should have no problem getting his $$$. Plus I've been told Jews are good with money...
  12. Miller Chill

Chelada-style beer with salt and lime added. Pretty light - 110 cals, 6.5 carbs per 12 oz. And it's not bad - I tend to prefer heavier beers in general, but I can see these going down REAL good on hot summer days.
  13. What are YOU doing for the 4th?

I swear half of those guys were just in Milwaukee (or at least they're coming by the end of the week).
  14. My 4th starts out with a BANG!

    He lives in Minnesota.
  15. Another lame law that most reaturants break

Apparently, very. I deal with compliance issues very rarely - but when an establishment doesn't have their liquor license on premise, I am legally not allowed to deliver. Which mean that some lame LAW that the CUSTOMER is not complying with is MY fault. No matter how much I explain it - "it's state law, call you state rep and yell at him about it." People are stupid, wieg.
  16. Another lame law that most reaturants break

    Southerner lawmakers...
  17. I am TORN!

Not to mention he'll still have SJax and Henry - in at least two of my leagues, teams with no RB depth made the title game due to the great week-to-week performances of LJ, LT, and SJax.
  18. AC/DC is best served loud

Tell your bro to that music WAS made before 1991. Best album of all time... ....I know that I find Jeff Buckley's Grace to be damn near a perfect explosion of talent and songwriting, but it didn't have any sort of effect on the general zeitgeist, which I would sort of expect a truly "great" album to do. But is "greatness" the same as "best"?
  19. What are YOU doing for the 4th?

Last night are when the big downtown Milwaukee fireworks are (they do it on the 3rd so that all the 'burbs can have their fireworks on the 4th), and it was theoretically awesome - they were shooting them off of the top of the US Bank building (tallest building along the waterfront) and two other locations along the water as well. Unfortunately, it was raining (and thundering and lightning) so the fireworks were awesome, but inconsistent - we saw what we thought was the grand finale, and started wandering over to see Lewis Black; then what appeared to be the real grand finale happened, so we ran back to the beach; after wandering away, a couple-three more huge volleys went off during the next 45 minutes or so, including one off the top of the building that totally interrupted Black's set and caused him to flip off a skyscraper. The lightning flashing out over the lake during the fireworks was pretty cool. Black, upon taking the stage, issued pretty much his standard Milwaukee greeting - "You people f*cking amaze me - you come out in a thunderstorm to watch fireworks and drink beer. You are insane." Today, bike ride and some BBQ.
  20. What are YOU doing for the 4th?

That's why you try to set it up so everything shoots off at the same time.
  21. Rhodes suspended for 1st 4 games

True enough. I was going more for "sucks to be him" than "pity the foo"
  22. Attention Chicagoland Huddlers

I got home at like, 6:30 am....
  23. Rhodes suspended for 1st 4 games

Well, first off, Rhodes ain't exactly LT. Solid player, but nothing irreplaceable. Secondly, RB is one of the few positions that the Raiders have a logjam of talent - Jordan, Fargas, Bush, and Rhodes. Sucks for Rhodes, but I don't think it hurts the Raiders.

Who wears the damn pants in your house?
  25. Attention Chicagoland Huddlers

Do you want me to stay away until she's gone?
