Makes a big difference who directs the episodes too. Tim Van Patten generally does a good job. Some guy I hadn't heard of did last night's. I think Steve Buscemi is directing some of this season too.

Hugh, you do realize that after this shortened 'season' of 12 episodes, there's only 8 more episodes left in the series, right? Meadow thinks the docs are screwing up and will probably become more vocal about that, and may be be correct. I wonder if they're treating him as they are because of 'who' he is. They keep telling the family that his outcome isn't going to be good and that he's very likely to die. It'll be curious to see how they deal with that. I can't believe they'd leave him on life support for 18 more episodes.

Saw it in Boston last night. It's a must see for Python fans. The cast in the Boston show was terrific, and they'll be travelling to Washington DC this summer.

I've heard that Vin's asking for 3.5 mill a year. While I don't disagree that he should be the highest paid kicker in the league, I think that's a little steep, given the other contracts that have been handed out in the last couple weeks. We'll see how desperate Vin is to get the big contract. I think his endorsement deals would make the difference here in NE.

My last cholesterol test was 202 . But my HDL was off the charts at 83. We'll see what happens when I get my next set of results.

Dave, they'll probably suggest either taking meds for ~year that will dampen the effect of your thyroid to see if that takes care of the situation. If not, they might suggest a treatment with radioactive iodine that will kill off some or all of your thyroid. You'd then have to take synthetic thyroid for the rest of your life. Think of your thyroid like the motor that runs you. It's running high, therefore your pulse is probably high, you may have lost weight because your metabolism is higher, you might have diarrhea. Basically, everything is running fast. People with hyperthyroid sometimes are a little...cranky, too. My mother had this 20 years ago and it came back. She just had to do the radioactive thing. They didn't warn her first that she'd literally BE radioactive for several days afterwards and would need to be quarantined.
