  1. Here is a two for one

I would not take Davis if I was a Foster owner. I would only consider it if this was a 16 team league and my #1 & #2 RB injured. Davis value can still climb is he has a good week 1. But at best, if both remain healthy, RBBC. I doubt the C.Brown owner will bite before week 1.
  2. My Final Draft!

DD came on strong, but is always a injury risk. No matter on how bad the o-line was, he still produced. The o-line should be a little better this year. Hopefully DD can stay off the trainer's table. I think that Deuce is a solid choice. With Brooks showing some maturity and leadership, hopefully that will translate into less mistakes from him and keep NO from playing catchup. Quite a few are down on Rudi this year. He is solid and has a great cast around him. He should continue to thrive. I'm not sure where you have him rank. I have Rudi in BOTH and Deuce in my other league.
  3. Rueben Droughens to Start

I agree. No need to take Ruben with an early pick (rounds 1-3). It's hard to predict what production CLE RBs will have until after (at least) week 1. Stay away from CLE RBs.
  4. League Voting

I have installed league voting in our league this year. Mainly as a check n' balance. Voting poll will only occur if 4 owners file a complaint and they need 7 of 10 to overturn. We have never had a major issue, but I wanted a check n' balance in place to prevent the whinners from accusing me from being to powerful.
  5. Stop Rating Teams...

    So brutally true!! :violin:
  6. Just Drafted

Thanks for the reply. I think you fared well for taking Manning with 1.01. Your RBs are not bad. Hopefully Suggs can get & stay healthy. Your WR's could be better, but servicable. I'm not sold on Williamson (most rookies do not make a huge splash) and McCardell is getting old. Was that Reggie Williams (JAX) or Roy Williams (DET)? Reggie is having a great camp, hopefully that translates to the field (J.Smith) will not cut it this year (36yrs old). He will be good, but not like years past. Caldwell should make a comeback this year, but he is returning from a major injury. By mid-season Benson & Suggs should produce for you (Trade bait). Portis , A.Green & Martin should be fine until then. Calico is sleeper canidate due to TEN sad defense. McNair or Volek should have to play catchup alot and injury prone RBs (Henry & Brown) does not help. Toomer is still a #1, but a very green Manning throwing to him. Not sure yet if he favors Plax or Shockey over Toomer. I would wait at least for week 1 to finish and reevaluate the league status. Good Luck!
  7. I have Carr/Palmer. Griese is a FA. I'm thinking about trading Palmer for Crumpler and picking up Griese. I believe that Palmer has a better weapons around him than Carr. Plus the Crupler owner went to the same college as Carr and would very much like to have him. (he also has Gonzo he other QBs are Brady/Farve). What are your thoughts about Carr/Palmer/Griese? EDIT: Crumpler owner to same college as Carr. Not Crumpler to the same college as Carr.
  8. Carr, Palmer or Griese?

Thanks for the replies. I'm keeping Palmer. Carr was the one I was looking to unload and pickup Griese. Since I do not really need Carr if I'm keeping Palmer and going for the FA pickup of Griese, I do not mind getting Crumpler in return. He is better than what I currently have at TE. TE is my biggest weak area (like everyone else not owning Gonzo/Gates). I figure that I get something for Carr since somone has interest in him vs. just throwing him back into the FA pool. Below are both rosters. 9. Denver TE

Alexander has never finished a full season that I'm aware of. He always has several injuries every year. Denver sign Jeb to a multi-year deal, but sign Alexander. Believe it or not, Jeb is still available. I have Alexander & Pollard. I'm thinking picking up Jeb, but not sure if I want to drop Alexander yet, until week 1 is over or is Skelator announces Jeb the starter. Any opinions would be appreciated.
  10. Alexander or Tomlinson at 2

Ditto, unless you have #1 pick At least the best at the position you are going for.
  11. Cadillac - Tampa Folks

Thanks for the reply. I'm not a Tampa homer, but I have read the same stuff on multiple site/articles...Caddy is the starter. It is possible that Pittman will start week 1, but will split carries. I just read on MFL new articles that Pittman will also be a return man.
  12. Denver TE

My bad, the other Clark....Desmond Clark CHI. No way Dallas Clark would be available on the FA pool.
  13. Denver TE

What are the comments on Pollard? I did not see any news releases about him.
  14. Denver TE

Not much at all. Besides Jeb, FA starting TEs are Dilger, Mangum, Clark, Conwell. I'm hoping that Hilton beats out Conwell in New Orleans. I'm trying to get a trade and make a move for a top 5 TE (not Gates or Gonzo). I agree about the TEBC. I just find it hard to believe that they would pay the bucks for Jeb then make him 2nd team TE.
  15. Tatum Bell Disciples

I got a great value for him. 16.06 Bell went at 3.08 At the time, the RB backfield did not have enough separation. Then injuries started to stack up and Anderson had a great week. Hopefully the Marine can stay healthy, so far so good.
  16. SS Robert Griffith, Arizona

Looks like Old Father Time stays. From MFL: (Rotoworld) Cardinals released S Ifeanyi Ohalete, LB Isaiah Ekejiuba, CB Rhett Nelson, T Alan Reuber, DT Keith Wright, and DE Peppi Zellner.
  17. Demarcus Ware

I saw that he is listed as a LOLB from the depth charts on NFL.com On NFL, Rosters it shows him as DE. Depth chart from Cowboys official site shows him as WLB. Since he plays both, in my MFL, we switched him to LB.
  18. Thanks in advance for your comments. This was our 1st year for IDP (kept 2 offense players) That seemed to throw a lot of owners off their usual game plan. Round 4 the IDPs started (LB) I missed the top 2 so elected to go QB. I recovered later with Vilma & Grant and pretty much filled the bulk of my IDPs from there. There was not a runs to LB, DL or DB as I was expecting, but due to where I had just picked, I missed out on the top players. After the few top TEs were picked, I waited as long as I could to get at least someone decent. Player, Round Drafted Portis, Clinton WAS RB - 3 Keeper Owens, Terrell PHI WR - 6 Keeper McAllister, Deuce NOS RB - Traded my 1.07 Westbrook, Brian PHI RB - 2.04 Smith, Steve CAR WR - 3.07 Palmer, Carson CIN QB - 4.02 Vilma, Jonathan NYJ LB - 5.09 Grant, Charles NOS DE - 6.03 Coles, Laveranues NYJ WR - 7.08 Pierce, Antonio NYG LB - 8.07 Witherspoon, Will CAR LB - 9.04 Schobel, Aaron BUF DE - 10.08 Wilson, Adrian ARI S - 11.03 Wilson, Gibril NYG S - 12.06 Hartwell, Edgerton ATL LB - 13.05 Ogunleye, Adewale CHI DE - 14.07 Houshmandzadeh, T.J. 20. Finished my IDP Keeper Draft

Thanks Rovers. We start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 2LB, 2DL, 2DB, 1ST 10 teams. Kept 2 offense players (1st year IDP, next year will also keep 2 defensive players). No joking. What I should have said was the top 3 based off rankings. I still drafted some very good players. I had just picked Steve Smith when Bullock was picked. By the time it got back to me, Edwards, RLewis, Thomas were gone. QBs were getting low and I rolled dice and picking a QB 4.02 vs Peppers. The long stretch to the next pick the Top 3 safties were gone, but I recovered. Since this was our league's first IDP, only a few of the top 3-4 in each were taken. I had played IDP last year (my 1st IDP) giving me the slight edge and also recently completing the BOTH Confusion Dynasty IDP draft. Next year we will bump up the IDPs to starting 3 for each. We kept it at 2 each position so the owners can get a good feel and be more comfortable next season. I'm the commish of the league and I had e-mail out the comparisons of defense to offense positions and how they relate. About half heeded my advice (that I got from the IDP forum; Thanks Guys) the other still were focusing on offense. I hope this helps paint a better picture.
  21. Drafted Last week..

I agree. If Fosters gets dinged, Shelton should be taking over. I do not believe that Davis will make any significant impact this season. Hopefully Shelton can show he can block/pick up blitzes, good pass protection. Edit to add: Maybe one of these WR are still available = Keven Curtis WR STL or maybe Reggie Williams WR JAX or Reche Cadwell WR SD, Greg Lewis WR PHI.
  22. Is this rookie worth a gamble

Exactly!!! You better move fast, especially in a Keeper League.
  23. Steve Smith for Donald Driver

Keep Smith. He is recovered from injury and still has his speed, plus if you get points for return yds & TDs, he will have that double threat for more points. I drafted him in one of my leagues for that reason. It made him worth a little more.
  24. You have a good team, yes BackUp QB is weak. What QBs are (if Any) are still available? If none available, I would hold and see how week 1 pans out. I t would be easier to trade to a team in need vs trying to make a trade before the season starts.
  25. Keepers Dillion or D. Davis

Keeper for just this season? I'm assuming so. You are 1.09, who are the other 3 behind you keeping? You should be able to land someone younger at 1.09, assuming that PManning & Culpepper are kept. I would send Dillon back to the pool and take a chance of a Rudi, Jordan, Westbrook being available or one of the Jones boys.
