  1. Really? I'm a hugh Gators fan, but if you start Tebow over Stafford for any reason then you're an idiot. Even if he ends up scoring more points you have to go with Stafford with the consistency he's brought. Stafford has been money for his ADP so far, why rock the boat until you know a little more about Teblow?

Easy Cajn. The kool-aid ain't that good.

  2. Started local league in 1992 with 7 teams and all players drafted started. We only did total points that year. In 1993 we expanded to 10 teams and added head-to-head play with Fantasy Bowl I. I still remember when the Monday night game went long we would have to wait for the Wednesday paper to get the box score. Typed all reports, copied and then drove around town to deliver. Talk about the dark ages. The paper we used was The Dallas Morning News.

During this time a lot of people did not understand "fantasy football". I remember enduring many 'fantasy' jokes. I tell people now that I was playing fantasy football when fantasy football wasn't cool. Now my local league is in it's 20th year and we still get together for our draft and end of the year parties. Great times!!!

Oh yeah, first round of our first draft went like this

    1. Warren Moon

    2. Barry Sanders

    3. Emmitt Smith

    4. Jim Kelly

    5. Thurman Thomas

    6. Dan Marino

    7. Mark Rypien

  3. Just won my local league (TFFL-Tyler fantasy football league) for a repeat! 5th championship since 1993.

    RB - Rashard Mendenhall

    RB - Quenton Ganther

    WR - Josh Morgan

    TE - Jason Witten

    K - Bironas

    DT - Green Bay

  4. It's because of issues like the ones discussed in this thread that our league changed to a no-trade league. It sure has eliminated a lot of problems and made the league a lot better. Just our way of dealing with the constant bickering and someone always thinking someone else is getting over or colusion or whatever. Most of this is so subjective. You can make numbers say whatever you want. We decided against letting all trades go through so that two owners can't put together one good team towards the end of the season.

I do sort of miss the trade option, but not when I think of all the hassle we used to have.

  5. Local 10 team redraft.

You can keep one player from your previous years team, which would be your first round pick. All owners who keep are in the bottom half of the 2nd round. All other picks are determined by drawing cards (out of a covered bowl with a slot just big enough to get your hand in). We start with round 20 and work our way back to round 1. Last years finish determines who pulls a card first. If in round 20 you took card 10, you would be the first one to pull a card to see what your pick is in round 19, and so on.

Some guys can get the shaft and some can get pretty lucky and the results are not like you might think. We have done it this way for 15 years and I can't get anyone to change!

Personally, I would like to try auction.

  6. :D  How about Arizona in week 17?They have the firepower to score some points and Indy just might have everything locked up by then and have all the starters on the bench after the 1st quarter.Stranger things have happened.

My question is this. If they go undefeated until Arizona, will they rest or will they go for perfection?
