  1. WDIS WR3: Kennison, ReggieW(Jax), DGivens

Same boat as you Coffeeman. I'm thinking of picking up Reggie Williams also since have Kennison and Givens as my other two #3 WR options. I think you are correct that EK will be blanketed by Champ all nite and with a backup QB (Huard) throwing to him, I could see a 2 catch for 23 yds performance. On the other hand, not much better options with Williams or Givens. Too early to tell, but I think I'd take a flier on Williams. TEN offense doesn't convince me that Givens could have a break out game, and Bennett is probably the more favored WR as far as looks go on that team. So guess I'd give a lean towards Reggie.
  2. driver, a. johnson,mason

    I'd actually lean towards Mason.
  3. Mason or Burelson?

Mason, no doubt. Air McNair and his fellow ex-Titan will be hooking up a lot this season I think. Don't be foolish first game out and start Burleson until he shows he's start worthy.
  4. WDIS - #2 and #3 WR

Mason and Driver. Mason will play, and he'll be McNair's #1 target again in BAL so that means he'll get a lot of looks (and catches). I'd go Driver also against the touch CHI def, just because I think he's the most solid out of the bunch. Burleson might produce, but I think it will be the Shaun Alexander show most of the day vs. DET and so taper your expectations if you start Nate.
  5. Fellow huddlers, Housh being downgraded to questionable for Sunday's game scares me. I'm keeping him in lineup until Sunday a.m. gametime, but if he doesn't go, who is best option as my #3 WR: Eddie Kennison Joe Jurevicious I like JJ, but not sold on the Browns offense until it actually shows me something. Am leaning towards Kennison just because KC-CIN game could turn into a high-scoring affair and Green will have to throw to someone.
  6. WDIS-W.Dunn or K.Jones

Fellow huddlers, K.Jones vs. SEA W.Dunn vs. CAR Leaning towards KJ just because he's facing the lesser of two good defenses. Dunn will get his touches, I just don't see him breaking the 100yd mark on CAR defense.
  7. Know Portis' separated shoulder injury is a concern for everyone, but this guy was the 4th leading rusher in the NFL last year and a preseason fantasy #4 slot. SJax scares me taking him at #4 and I'm in a keeper league so the R.Brown owner already eliminates him as an option. Portis is a proven RB, SJax has shown signs of studness but I could also see him sinking like a ship if he gets dinged up. Is Rudi the safest pick then at #4? I like the 'home-run' theory with SJax, but if Portis gets healthy and plays, he's what I'd consider a PROVEN top-5 back. Going to draft soon and still undecided between Portis-SJax-Rudi-Edge. Any last minute advice?
  8. Portis or L Jordan

    A lean towards Portis.
  9. Dilemma-Portis or SJax

Fellow huddlers, Am drafting in a 2-player keeper league and so the LJ owner from last year is already keeping him and losing first round pick for. With that said, here's who I see falling to me at the #4 slot: Portis SJax I think Tiki will be picked behind LT and Alexander, so that leaves me with Portis (who has the shoulder injury) and SJax (mucho upside but scares me as a potential bust if gets injured). Ronnie Brown is also being kept, so I can only really decide on one of these two guys. Am leaning towards Portis as the 'safe' pick but as all good fantasy owners know you have to risk-reward in order to win championships. So I say, is SJax REALLY going to become an elite back this year? Portis to me is already there and proven, SJax is one of those huge upside guys but I'm concerned the success of my season would be in the balance in choosing him. Any thoughts?
  10. Trade advice

DJax when healthy is a bonified #1 WR on a prolific offense in Seattle. He can put up 8-10 catches a game and close to 100yds with a score sprinkled in here or there. Stallworth is a flash in the pan, shows signs of brilliance then disappears for weeks at a time. I'd rather deal with DJax not playing at 100% than an overhyped Stallworth
  11. Who is my #2 RB?

I think Chester Taylor is a decent #2 RB over JJ. Reason is, Parcells seems to like Barber as well, and as the season progresses if JJ doesn't get off to a good start I see more and more playing time being shared (RBBC) with Barber. JJ is fast, but I think Parcells likes Barbers toughness and willingness to run hard IMO.
  12. Hugh, Need some keeper league advice. Am considering keeping two of the following since am able to keep up to (2) players from last year's roster: TJ Housh M.Hasselback W.Dunn If I decide to keep TJ Housh, I picked him in the 10th round last year and would lose my 8th round pick this year. If I keep Hass, I got him in the 8th round last year so would lose my 6th pick. If keep Dunn, I'd lose my 7th round pick since got him last year in the 9th round. I'm definitely keeping Terry Glenn as the other keeper b/c got him in 18th round last year and would only lose a 16th rounder.... Am leaning towards Dunn since Duckett left for WASH and won't be stealing TD's around the goal line. Plus, he's a decent #2 and a great #3. I am picking 4th in my draft so I know I'll get a shot at either Tiki, SJax or Portis. Any recommendations?
  13. Drafting in #4 slot

Fellow huddlers, My fantasy draft is coming up and I got the 4th pick in this year's draft. It's a 10-team performance league. Haven't had much time to 'buff-up' on who will likely fall to me, but wanted to see if there was a consensus opinion on any of these running backs (all have question marks) outside of the big 3 in LJ,LT,Alexander. Guaranteed these will go 1-3 in some order, and this is a keeper league so the guy who got LJ last year is keeping him and only giving up a third rounder, so LJ is out right off the bat. Any strong opinions about any of these remaining RB's (?) Tiki Barber Clinton Portis Edge James Steven Jackson These are the ones am considering...am I ranking SJax too high (?)
  14. Keeper League Question

Fellow huddlers, One more post before I go and answer some of yours. Am considering keeping two of the following since am able to keep up to (2) players from last year's roster: TJ Housh M.Hasselback T.Glenn W.Dunn If I decide to keep TJ Housh, I picked him in the 10th round last year and would lose my 8th round pick this year. If I keep Hass, I got him in the 8th round last year so would lose my 6th pick. If keep Dunn, I'd lose my 7th round pick since got him last year in the 9th round. I'm definitely keeping Terry Glenn b/c got him in 18th round last year and would only lose a 16th rounder.... Any opinions on who to keep outside of T.Glenn (?)
  15. Fellow huddlers, Of these (3) WR options, who has the best chance of producing at least workman-like numbers: Bruce (but has Martin throwing to him not Bulger) Glenn (cooled since his hot start, plus may have Champ on him) J.Smith (cooled off while Wilford and Jones are taking catches from him)
  16. Famine to Feast on RB's

Fellow huddlers, Can start (2) RB's, this week tough call between (4) decent options. Any opinions? Dunn vs. GB DD vs. IND Staley vs. CLE Dillon vs. MIA
  17. Fellow huddlers, Been offered Cadillac Williams in exchange for Terry Glenn. Both started hot but have cooled as of late. Any opinions? See my roster below. Green, Trent KCC Hasselbeck, Matt Davis, Domanick Dillon, Corey Dunn, Warrick Faulk, Marshall Staley, Duce Stecker, Aaron Glenn, Terry Horn, Joe Houshmandzadeh, T.J. Robinson, Marcus Smith, Jimmy Stokley, Brandon Gonzalez, Tony Stevens, Jerramy Rackers Bruce, Isaac
  18. T.Green or Hasselback

Fellow huddlers, Both of these seem to be solid starts this week, but anyone favor one over the other? T.Green vs. OAK M.Hasselbeck vs. AZ
  19. Trade - how'd I make out?

Ouch. This trade was not in your favor chubbyparrot. Smith had his glory at the beginning of the year but has since disappeared off the map. Glenn isn't 'as' hot as he was, but he's still producing, and giving up an up-n-coming RB like Ronnie Brown....ugh, looks like you got smoked no offense. :doah:
  20. Fellow huddlers, Which has more value at this point in the season (regardless of position need): Marcus Robinson MIN or Marion Barber DAL Does anyone think that MRob may get some chemistry with BJ now that he's starting QB in MIN? And does anyone think Barber will stay in the starting lineup regardless if JJ comes back healthy?
  21. Gonzo catches his 1st ball with 7 to go in the 3rd

Gonzo is turning it around. 7 catches for 97 yds and a touch is more on par with what expected out of him this year. Too little, too late also for my team. But hey, at least it keeps me somewhat interested
  22. is Horn going to play?

Yeah, and I benched him in favor of T.Glenn...
  23. Scobee or Rackers - Sorry - Kicker Q?

Stack and Rack'em....field goals that is
  24. This could make me start drinking.

Ugly choices Shotgun Messiahs. Here's what I'd probably go with and my 'eliminators' for the others: Start Muhammad and Chatman. Hakim's looks will get severely diminished if Horn plays which sounds like he is. Hakim then becomes a third option in pass game at best. Mason is okay, but BAL is going vs. a good PIT defense and BAL offense just plain sucks. The only saving grace here would be if BAL gets down by 2-3 TD's and then has to throw every down. Then, only then, would Mason get some garbage time catches. Williamson is mired in that offensive mess in MIN. With Burleson back, and MRob having a nice week last week, just not sure how you can count on Cpep to find this guy.
  25. Is Horn a safe start

Fellow huddlers, Sounds like Horn is playing this week. With his nagging injury, is he a safe start this week. Or should I keep with my WR lineup as follows: TJ Housh T.Glenn J.Smith Or should I switch in Horn and send Glenn to the bench?
