I have been to many many games and when people stand I don't complain, I just stand up too. But I never understood how standing makes you louder. And the people who stand, turn around, and wave their arms up and down are odd. They are the only ones standing, in the way, and often have their backs turned to the action.

Commissioners, your input please
satelliteoflovegm replied to Grits and Shins's topic in Fantasy Football
A prepared commish might have something like this in his constitution... THE COMMISSIONER HAS THE ABILITY TO MODIFY SCORING. IN THE EVENT A SCORING ERROR IS DISCOVERED WE WILL MAKE THE APPROPRIATE CORRECTIONS. HOWEVER, ONCE THE NEXT WEEKS ROSTERS ARE DUE THE SCORES ARE CONSIDERED FINAL AND NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE. ROSTERS WILL BE CONSIDERED DUE WHEN THE WEEK'S EARLIEST STARTER IS DUE FOR ANY TEAM. CBS SPORTLINE WILL HAVE FINAL AUTHORITY ON ALL STATS. ALL OTHER SOURCES FOR STATS MAY BE PRESENTED AS EVIDENCE ONLY. THE NFFL COMMISIONER WILL HAVE FINAL AUTHORITY ON ALL DISPUTES. THE PROCESS WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING. 1. THE ERROR CAN BE REPORTED BY ANY PARTY TO THE COMMISSIONER. 2. THE COMMISSIONER WILL INFORM THE TEAMS INVOLVED OF THE POSSIBLE ERROR. 3. RESOURCE EVIDENCE WILL BE COLLECTED AND SUBMITTED, TO AND BY THE COMMISSIONER. 4. CON-CURRENTLY CBS SPORTSLINE MAY BE CONTACTED WITH A REQUEST FOR HELP AND/OR CLARIFICATION OF THE STATS IN QUESTION. 5. IF THE ERROR INVOLVES INTERPRETATION OF OUR LEAGUE RULES THE COMMISSIONER WILL ISSUE A DECISION. IF IT IS A STATISTICAL CBS SPORTSLINE ERROR AND CAN BE CORRECTED BEFORE THE DEADLINE IT WILL BE. -
Why did they announce it? I mean better safe than sorry but what is their logic? Are they bypassing fees this way? It seems alright but I would say if others assumed it wasn't allowed or similiar stuff isn't allowed and then it happens, it could cause some issues. I would announce to the league that something like this doable before I just did it, as commish anyway. Giving everyone a chance to act. Perhaps that is what they did.

I have no sense of smell, we pass a dead skunk and I have no clue. Guy at work burnt a bag of popcorn and I had no idea until I saw the smoke...blessing sometimes...dangerous others

If anyone already does this I'd love to see it... Do you keep track of players in the league whether they play when questionable or doubtful. Or break it down by teams. What I mean is does questionable for the Broncos=doesn't play more often than not while questioanble for the Bucs=always plays. Portis was questionable last week and played Houshmazilla was questionable and didn't Does anybody keep track of gametime decisions by teams? I just wonder if there is a pattern by teams? It is a league of percentages and if some trends developed over the season it could really help come playoff time.

Zactly I offered my local guy two options, I play for free and fun and can't win money or I buy the team discounted and can win money. He gave me some free waiver moves and it turned out the guy came back sooner than expected

If they are all friends wouldn't this guy feel the need to be more respectful of the work people put in to do this. I just stepped into a league for a guy I don't know, I know the commish, but this guys brother passed away and he needed some time. I agreed to run the team and walk away when and if he returned...well he did and a I stepped down. The point being he found time to relay a message and steps were taken. It is the not knowing part that sucks for the commish. The commish running the team should be a last resort, but it isn't fair to the league and the commish. This guy took 1 minute and said I need time for family and it was an easy fix locally. Here there are thousands of people who could step in with little notice and do a great job. But this guy is being selfish or a jerk. If there is a personal issue of the worst kind pass a message onto someone...

Bills claim Pats signed a player strictly for info

or maybe they were asked a question and answered it. They didn't call a press conference to announce this travesty. -

non story agreed, bad analogy, Milloy was a tad better and stayed with the team for a while. -

he looked quick and strong against a tough front. But when he went out to get taped, he looked less explosive. new england turned it up a notch and he struggled.

being called a cheat...thanks to cbs sportsline
satelliteoflovegm replied to Steelhead's topic in Fantasy Football
that's a reasonable response, but still, we have a rule, that the change must be made to count, and everyone is urged to set their line-up asap, for just such a problem. -

I wouldn't qualify your loose adherence to the rules as being a great commissioner. You asked for trouble and got it, brother or not. -

Submitting highly questionable line ups
satelliteoflovegm replied to theeohiostate's topic in Fantasy Football
It's dumb but they should be allowed to do it. Addressing the question who would do that for Mike Bell...the same people who say should I bench Alexander cause he's facing the a tough run defense. They deserve 0-1 especially the jerk that loses and misses out on him by 4 points. Assuming points would be waiver tie breakers. -
i thought we weren't allowed to buy magazines

I might consider trading one of your rb's, if they have a good week 1 for an upgrade at wr. but it looks strong enough.
