  1. Delhomme is out of the elbow sling and has been doing push-ups pain free for about two weeks now. He is also allowed simple chores like taking out the trash via the right arm. He should begin throwing a Nerf ball late February and should be 100% by TC and has no competiton for the starting job if healthy. He will only spend one week away from Charlotte this off-season then return to Charlotte for the remainder of the OS to rehab the elbow. Considering he should have had this procedure about three years ago, it will be interesting if the "floaters" will disappear and he will have more "zip" on the ball.

  2. Is Mr. Richardson waiting for the Falcons to hire a HC before he shows Fox the door?? For, if he had canned Fox prior...don't you think Blank would have offered Fox the job....within the division?? Well, this is what us non PO, mediocre as hell NFL franchise fans do in the off-season. Sheesh, with the way my Packs playing B-Ball in Raleigh maybe I should join a book club..or cheese of the month club................................................................

Oh, yeah, Morgan still wants to play :D

  3. The Giants are currently 8-4. The worse they could finish is 8-8, therefore it is not possible for both wildcard teams to have losing records.

Thanks Big Guy, as I found that hard to imagine, as I've been outta the loop for awhile. However, it looks like there could be one with a losing record....even 6-10 could qualify this year in the NFC...NO?

  4. The Tar Heels have toughed out a couple of road games against OSU and UK, and finally gotten Ty Lawson back from his ankle injury. I think it's indicative of the potential on this Tar Heel team that in 3 games, 3 different players have had career highs in scoring: Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington, and then yesterday, Danny Green. The Heels have 2 more games of their 6 game road-trip to go. Hopefully they'll come home undefeated.

Dook found out that Davidson really is a pretty good basketball team. The Dookies have a tough road game @ Pitt coming up.

NC State, what can you say? First New Orleans, then they get completely embarassed in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge. PD hasn't shown his face around here in a couple of weeks. Hope everything's ok.

Clemson and Miami are indefeated and UVA has looked pretty solid.

Good to be back, somebody hired me for some consulting work on a sub-division they wanted to develope, so I've been outta town and on the road

. So, I've beben burning the midnight oil to get it done so I could have some down-time for the holiday's. Side note.....I was at the NO game.....I nearly vomited. I'm now ready to settel (my delete buttin is on the fuggin blink....sumbitch!!!!)

  5. I've been out of town alot since Thanksgiving week, but I'll catch up the thread this week. I had an opp to make some very decent coin right here before Christmas....so, I took the chance to fatten up the wallet, needless to say I missed you momo's :D

  6. Nice W for the Hoos and the ACC, as this will help the conference RPI as we go forward.

However, the Noles loss to Cleveland St. was a bummer, but if the Canes can win their Tourney, that will help repair the damage.

  7. It took me awhile to find this recipe, I'm doing this on Sunday, but did not rust( had to leave the typ0...Scooby Doo does FTCP) myself to remember it to the letter.

    Mexican-Style Shredded Beef Tacos

1 boneless beef chuck shoulder roast 3 lbs approx

    1 tablespoon ground cumin

    1 tablespoon ground coriander

    1 tablespoon chili powder

    1 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper

1 cup salsa or picante sauce

    2 tablespoons water

    1 tablespoon cornstarch

Taco shells(or flour or corn tortillas)

Step 1- Cut roast in half. Combine cumin, coriander, chili powder, salt and red pepper in bowl. Rub over roast.

Step 2- Place 1/4 cup salsa in CP ,top with one piece roast. Layer 1/4 cup salsa, 2nd half roast, 1/2 cup salsa in CP. Cover and Cook on Low only for 7-8 hrs.

Step 3- Transfer roast to cutting board; cool slightly. Trim and discard excess fat from beef. Shred Beef with two(2) forks. Let cooking liquid stand for 5 mins to allow fat to rise. Skim and discard fat.

Step 4- Blend water and cornstarch until smooth. Whisk into cooking liquid. Cook, uncovered 15-20 mins on High or until thickened. Return beef to CP. Cover and cook 15 -20 mins. and enjoy!!!!!

We do it this with refried beans and Mexi/spanish rice and Ice Cold Tecate in a bottle. We have the usual grated or shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, green onions, green chilis, sliced jalepenos for taco condiments. And your favorite suace for spooning on as well.

Now for some football-The Packers will crush the Panthers

    Cats 6

    Packers 31

Bon Appetite and Good Luck on the Homer Front and FF Wise-Peace PD.

  8. UVA gets their first real test this saturday with trip out to Wildcat country! There seems to be some depth on this team that hasn't been around for many years. Unfortunately, our big man, Tunji, is already out with knee surgury so the backcourt is once again vulnerable. Since we're not in conference play just yet, I'll expect all you ACC bretheren to be rooting for the HOOS this saturday in hopes of quieting down that competing PAC10 thread claiming to be the best hoops conference top to bottom!

    GO HOOS!!!!

Absolutely!!! Also, we need to pull for the Canes to win their Tourney this weekend, as it will help the Conf power rating. ACC ACC ACC ACC!!!!!!!!

  9. Well, the JJ Hickson era is under-way, as the 5 Star Frosh hangs 31 pts on William and Mary. He will see tougher comp down the road, but this kid is a monster and has put McCauley on the bench already. He is very similar to a young Shawn Kemp, as he is already being dubbed "man-child". The Pack started a little sluggish on the defensive end, but picked it up dramtically at the end of the first and then into the second half vs W and M. I can see a line up of McCauley, Hickson and Costner when they start conference play, as I don't think last night line-up will be the season long starting five. Having those kind of options is nice this year, as McCauley only logged 14 mins vs W n M, but as in Hoops, if you have a man they can't stop..well ya keep feeding him the rock. Hickson had 5 offensive rebounds and 4 he put back in for points..8 pts off of attacking glass. Very nice start to the season in Raleigh and the new force on Tobacco Road...JJ Hickson.

    JJ's night

    12-12 FG ATT

No WolfPack Frosh has ever scored more points in his debut

NCSU single Game scoring record in the history of the RBC Center( 9 years)

    7-10 from the line (70%)

31 points(8 pts off Offensive rebounds)

  10. Well, it wasn't pretty, but the Tar Heels got a very good win for the season opener in Charlotte last night. Davidson is a tough team, returning all 5 starters from a team that won 29 games last year. And I'm with Roy on this one; it was exactly the kind of game the Heels needed. Nothing like a smack in the face early in the year to remind you that you're not the hot $hit you think you are, especially when you're ranked #1 in the country preseason. Remember Santa Clara anybody? Those Heels started the season thinking their stuff didn;t stink either.

Hansbrough had a solid first half, but allowed Davidson to get in his head in the second. They were playing really rough with him, and the refs were letting it go (despite calling Tyler for some pretty ticky-tack fouls). Tyler had 2 points in the second half, Lawson spent most of the first half on the bench in foul trouble, and only had 1 assist in the game. If you just quoted me those 2 stats about the game, I would have said that the Heels lost, but our depth helped us overcome. Ellington looked strong last night and I really think he's primed for a big year. We got good contributions from Danny Green, Bobby Frasor, QT and Marcus Ginyard absolutely shut down Stephen Curry in the last 5 minutes.

All in all, an ungly game, but a solid win. Davidson has Dook, UCLA, and NC State on its upcoming schedule. I wouldn;t be suprised if they catch one of those guys sleeping.

Nice gut check opener for the Heels B, and yes, the Davidson game is going to be a good one, as they are a solid ball club. Pack opens tonight in Raleigh and I'm ready for some Hoops!!!!

  11. The Panthers couldn't punch their way outta a wet paper bag at this point. The Pack is going to Hammer the Cat's on the Tundra, as I am in with PSU and JJ and stated it in a thread a few days ago.....time for a change. They have decent personel in Carolina, but as we all know here...the appear clueless as to how and use said talent.....fuggin joke. Plus, I knew they were toast when Delhomme went down, however, we seem to have a future Pro-Bowl'er with Beason taking over at MLB..so a positive for this season....which has not had many to speak of once again.
