Bree22
I am just curious to know what size league you think is the best for quality and play ability. Assuming that you start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, K, Def and flex (RB, WR, TE) with one reserve per starting position (18 total roster spots per team)

loaf
12 is how I voted 10 Teamers have stacked teams (providing the Owners know what they're doing) 14 starts to thin out the WW 16 Been in one since '94 and it's not a picnic. Vitually all the WW are backups that only get snagged when injuries rear their ugly heads

Guest THEbigred
I can't believe it's 12 in a runaway. 10 works for my money. Disagree that 10s have 'stacked' teams, unless you're into have worthless wastes of time that are 1000-1 shots to do much of anything any given week (ie Rob Konrad/Jed Weaver types). Plus with 12 or more, the FA wire is similarly worthless for the most part. With 10 (assuming rosters aren't ridiculously large) you have a shot at getting a difference-maker throughout the season, even if the odds still are against you. Finally, even if you disagree w/all of this, what I hate about 12-teamers is that they are almost always 3 division leagues....and one more division means a much greater chance of having one weak division where some .500ish team can slide into the playoffs, while a much better team might not due to being in a good division and just missing out vs a few other good teams for a wild card spot. PantherDave
12 is the ideal, but the most fun I ever had was in my local where some people just could not committ and some of the cellar dwellers bailed. It ended up being 8 of us die-hards and the competition was great. We have a total points and a team vs team(head to head) via the same leauge payouts. The total points was nuts and got decided on the last week, and the Championship game from the Head vs Head was a slugfest. So, even though on can be ideal-they are all alot of fun. Peace PD.
