ROCKNE
I lnow it is real early for a draft but because of everyones schedule we have to. I have the first pick in an 8 team league. Scoring & starting requirements are listed below in my signature. I could go Manning, Kevin Jones & maybe Julius Jones or LT, Holt or Harrison and Gates. the secomd option would give me three tier 0ne players. But Manning is hard to pass on in an eight team league. What do you think?
Dirty Weasel
Gotta go RB first. In an 8-team league, you can wait until like the 10th round and still get a top 10 QB. I waited til round 10 in a 10-team league and still ended up with Jake Plummer. I suggest you rate the top 10 QB's in whatever order you want. Then watch and see how long those #8, 9, and 10 QB's last. When you see people starting to take their 2nd QB, then you snag your first. You will be amazed. Good luck
Roller Coasters
I can't really think of a format in which LT2 wouldn't be the number 1 pick.
ts
LT at #1, then grab the best available RB in round 2, or, since an 8-team, grab Moss if he falls to you? Should still be a nice RB2 waiting for you in round 3. Either way, you want 2 RBs, 1 WR out of the first three rounds.
rhippens
i agree. i personally wouldn't pass up tomlinson. then i would take rb/wr at the next turn. that way, you are getting a stud and a very solid #2 running back plus a top tier wide receiver to start. on your next turn, i would go the same route with rb/wr. then you are a very good backup running back and a very good #2 receiver. you could also go b2b wr here and fill out your first 5 core players. where do you think gonzo and gates will go? would it be possible for you to go tomlinson, wr, rb, gonzo, wr with your first 5? you would be waiting until round 6 to get a #3 back, but i think in an 8-team league, you could probaly still get someone decent there. that way you would have the #1 rb, top tier wr, #1 te, plus 2 very good starters at rb and wr. DocNiner52
I agree with the consenus here. In an 8 team league you're gonna be able to get a QB who'll throw at least 25 td's later in the draft. Rank your top 10 rb's and wr's and I'd take the 2 best rb's and the best wr in the first 3 rounds. Bulger and Green should still be available after the third. You gotta figure with 8 teams every team is gonna have a pretty good roster unless someone just doesn't know what their doing. Try and draft the best players you can at rb and wr early and you'll have a shot at winning it.
