Matrix
OK...so there is enough stuff on the Priest/LJ/Edge debate...BUT...what about the other "stud RB's" that are out there and up for grabs at #3? As far as I believe, there are quite a few that could be a top end RB this year as well: Edge of course...but what about the TD's he never seems to get Deuce...best shape of his career, motivated, doesn't share carries, but and O-Line that is pretty suspect and a very tough schedule. Jamal...top RB for yardage in 2003, vastly improved passing game weapons, but unfortunatly only sees 1st & 2nd downs most of the time Portis...Tons of talent, speed, moves...BUT was it really just the Denver scheme? "What you talkin' about Willis"...Great numbers last season, new erratic QB and what about the knee? Anyway, I am at #3 and am love Priest, but watched him destroy Fantasy SuperBowl hopes last year and would hate for it to be me! I am praying that the #2 pick is an idiot and takes Priest or Manning and I get Alexander, but not very hopeful. Please share your wisdom for me and others in the same boat1

Splat
I think that you have to go with Edge because of the experience and the players that are around him. With Manning you know he will be spreading the ball around and hopefully Edge will get the goal line run or the swing pass. IMO!

Avernus
I like Deuce...then Edge...Willis...Portis and then Jamal...in that order, even though I like other RB's as well between Willis and Portis and between Portis and Jamal
mamaboy
Dominick Davis, just as good as number as Willis the last 6 games

JO-E
Edge..... stick with him... try and trade down though... b/c it seems that you put all of these guys in the same catergory so you might want to trade down... get that same guy and have a better 2nd pick

Try to get as much as you can, but don't take less than a 1st and 2nd round swap.
Roo
I think you're being a little hasty to totally discount a Manning pick at #3. The only way I think you can ignore Manning is if you are in a 12+ team league, only start 1QB, AND passing TDs are 4 pts. If that's the case, take a look at Edge, or certainly try trading down. Otherwise, at #3 in a 10 team league, it's very likely you can get a top RB at #18. Then you have say Manning and Rudi, and even pull down someone like Jackson Westbrook or your favorite rookie RB later on. When pass TDs are 6 points, Manning really dominates and will pull his weight. When you start 2 QBs, the QB pool is so shallow, it's even more crucial to have a top tier passer. And the bonus is Manning is more durable, in his prime, and still has all his weapons. Sorry to beat that to a pulp, I just feel like you might want to reconsider that. tomfin2000
Man, either you guys have short memories or you haven't taken Edge in the first round the past two seasons like I have. Here's what I got out of my No. 1 draft pick last year in a standard scoring league (1 point per 10 yards rush/rec, 6 points per rush/rec TD): Week 1: 16 points Week 2: 24 points Week 3: 13 points Week 4: 16 points Week 5: 20 points Week 6: Bye Week 7: 13 points Week 8: 12 points Week 9: 17 points Week 10: 9 points Week 11: 27 points Week 12: 11 points Week 13: 27 points Week 14: 15 points Yes, he's the model of consistency, but he only had three games out of nine where he scored more than 20 points. Maybe I'm being unreasonable, but I expect more monster games out of a Top 10 draft pick. Edit: That should be "three games out of thirteen" not "three games out of nine". He is never going to blow it up...and at least with some of the others...they have a chance to score 3 TD's and run for a 100+ on a lot of occassions. Edge will never get the chance to score that much...plus...he doesn't have the speed to take it to the house like the old days.
