DocNiner52
10 team Dynasty league. Passing tds'4 pts., all other tds-6 pts. standard scoring on yardage for all offensive position. Majority of roster looks like this, excluding PK. QB-Bulger,Green,E.Manning,K.Warner RB-McAllister,Portis,D.Davis,K.Jones,T.Henry WR-Holt,Horn,D.Jackson,D.Mason,R.Smith,B.Lloyd I have the 1.07 pick in our rookie/FA draft. Draft went this way so far. 1.1-RB C.Williams 1.2-RB R.Brown 1.3-RB C.Benson 1.4-RB Arrington 1.5-WR B.Edwards 1.6-WR M.Williams Would Like opinions on who the pick should be. I've considered T.Williamson,E.Shelton,M. Clayton,F.Gore and even QB A. Smith. I know my qb's are stable at this point but I am drafting for the future. Should I trade down for a vet player and/or draft picks? So, let's hear from the guru's here at the Huddle. I am capable of making the pick but I value you guys opinions and wanted to get some feedback before I made my decision. I'm on the clock now and sent an e-mail to all owners looking to trade. I'm waiting until noon to make my decision. Thanks to you guys for your input. One other note-WRT.J.Housmanzedah is probably the best vet receiver available. alchico
All your positions are pretty stable and balanced with young/old. Your biggest need is probably wr, and is where you probably get the most value for this pick. Unless you get an offer of a promising wr, i don't think TJ is worth it, you should probably go either williamson or clayton. I like clayton but williamson probably has more upside, especially for this year.
Avernus
at this point, I'd go umm Shelton probably...he has the best chance to perform...
Fenokee
The age of your WR's stands out as a weakness in my eyes. Although Shelton could be in a situation where he's productive early, you have a slew of young RB studs already. Focus on your WR position which points you to Williamson or Clayton. Nice team btw
DocNiner52
Thanks for your input guys. I value the opinions you have. I decided to take Troy Williamson with the pick as I too thought I needed some youth at the receiver position. Funny thing too Avernus, Eric Shelton was taken with the next pick, lol. I seriously considered him as well. I was able to get Shelton in the draft of another league. I know my wr group is aging but I put out a trade offer to a guy who's rb group needs serious help. I offered him Travis Henry, Darrell Jackson and Najeh Davenport for Marvin Harrison and his 2nd round pick. We had discussed earlier the possibility of Henry and DJax for Harrison. He seemed receptive to that idea.
