lhamp
11 spot in a 12 team league... I think both these guys will fall to me.... which would you rather have? 6 pts td 1 pt for every 10 yards rushing and receiving starting at 40. Thanks. Avernus
I think Green will bounce back to stud status....but the OL took too much of a hit for me to go back with him.. I'd go Portis easy...
Hugh 0ne
Probably Portis of those 2, but you might have better options at that spot imo.
Tboogs
Go Portis...He has a better O-line...I think Najeh will "vulture" a lot of Ahman's Tds.
Fenokee
Agree with Hugh on this one. Portis over Green, but you may be surprised at what falls to you.

When Ahman plays, he plays - and he's an excellent goalline back. I don't see Najeh biting into Ahman's carries any more than he has the past 2 years (i.e. he'll only see significant carries if Green gets hurt). JO-E
I think that Wash is building around Portis and that he def has the talent.... Green does to but as we all know he is a risk... with your first pick you take the best player available and I really think that it is PORTIS Portis might not even be available there Help me out to plz http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=100257
Tboogs
Based on what? 904175 The fact that they are playing with a plug & play O-line...and they would like to have Ahman for the playoff push...Last year Najeh averaged 5.1 yards per carry on 71 attempts...Najeh is healthy and ready to contribute. They will increase his load. Why not put him in for the goaline carries????

I seriously doubt Davenport will do any more than he did last year. Ditto for their other little change of pace back (name escapes me). Edit: Fisher. Green, if the O-line can gel, will have a solid season. That said, I'd probably draft Portis ahead of Green... and I'm not that big on Portis. And like others noted, you may be surprised what falls to you here. I'd take Dillon over either of these guys, actually. sarge5121976
Easy pick, Portis
gijunky
Easy pick, Portis 904689 I second that emotion...Portis. Portis is the only horse in town, Green WILL have to contend with Davenport.
cliaz
Washington is going with a zone blocking scheme which is what portis is used to. He couldn't run in the system that Gibbs brought back from the 80s with him. Portis isn't a patient running, he needs to have those zones open up and he is off. I look at portis this year and I think he will get 1500 yards and 13 Tds. Hell they have an un-proven Passing game there. Green is Green but i'd go with Portis. MrGameTime
Portis all day! But like others have said you may be surprised at who else will be there at the 11 spot. I have seen some mock drafts and have done some and I'm not so sure what folks are thinking about when I see Moss, TO, Manning & Cpepper all going in the first round of 12 team Leagues! They must be just trying something new. Just keep your mind opn and pay attention when your up! But Portis would be nice at that spot! Ralph Furley
Another for Portis. I'm a bit biased though as Green burned me last year...
wolfden1
Look at what else is available of course, but I'd assume since you have the 11 spot you also have the 14? Take Portis at 11 and Ahman will probably be there at 14 (if not someone better)

You have four legitimate starters on that line, plus Favre, Driver, and Walker to help keep them from stacking up on you... I'll take Green.
