SLAYER
for violating MLB drug policy. Will not reveal if steroids or rec drugs. Will he get into the HOF now?
Puddy
I just heard on the Jim Rome show that it was steroids, not rec. drugs. In the other thread here, I said he was a lock for the Hall. Others argued that he was more of a bubble player. I think this news combined with the accusations by Canseco in his book (which seems true now), definitely hurts his chances. Wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't get in.

rhippens
this will definitely probably end the debate of whether or not he was a HOF-caliber player. the biggest cut againts him being in that 3000-500 club was that offense has gone through the roof. now with this, i'm certain he won't get it. there is even more doubt in the voters' minds that those stats alone are worthy of a plaque. Now he says that he doesn't know how they got into his system... What a loser... every MLB modern day record should have a huge asterisk next to it! What a loser... every MLB modern day record should have a huge asterisk next to it! 904884[/snapback] There's a perfectly logical explanation for that of course. He had never used steroids when the congressional hearing happened. Then, some time during the past month or so, someone replaced his 'gra with a similar looking pill.
