Keeper League Help

Recommended Posts

Performance scoring league, 6 point TD, 1 point per 25 yards.

I can keep 2, but can't decide between Julius Jones, Portis, McGahee and J. Lewis.

I am concerned with the Washington offense as a whole, and Portis stunk last year.

Julius is an unproven commodity, and A-Train and M. Barber in the wings.

Lewis has only had 1 great year, and it will be a different offense this year.

Will McGahee be the same with a Losman at QB?

Help!!!

McGahee for sure, he is young and looks to have all the makings of a stud RB. The other calls might be a little tough. I think I would lean towards Portis, again he is still young (I think he is only 23?) The offense in Washington does raise question marks. JJ looked terrific last year in the last 4 or 5 games but he can't keep up those amount of carries over a full season - he would never make it through the year. I really like J. Lewis but he has already racked up quite a few miles on those tires and he is the oldest of the group. He probably has about 3 more years of stud numbers left and that may be it. Just my two cents.

I would keep McGahee and Lewis. Jamal had a great year two years ago when there was a touch of a passing game. They brought in a couple of WR to take the pressure of Jamal so he should have a huge year.

Willis is a bonafide stud in the making.

With you having 4 top RB you might be able to trade one or two of them and horde up some draft picks. Whenever you are talking to someone and they ask about a player tell them that you were going to keep them but, you will trade them for the right price.

That seems like the ticket .... try to trade a couple or even one for draft pick(s).

I would lean towards McGahee and either Lewis or Portis ... I believe WAS will be better this year. They didn't seem to gel very well offensively last year, but Portis actually did put up some numbers, plus they have a WR who actually wants to be there now.

I like Lewis because he has had some rest time ... he only played 12 games due to some injury I believe so he didn't have a full season on him last year. While the guy might be the oldest of this group, he still isn't even 27 (possibly not even 26 ... born in 1979 didn't check actual date). He seems to have gotten a hunger from being in the "pokey" and would have some type of drive to get back out there. The only thing I do not like about this is the fact that he has to face the PIT D twice and the CIN D twice and even the CLE D twice. I think that Crennell will help the CLE D and they will be tougher come week 6 at the first game between CLE and BAL. BAL also plays NYJ and JAX which have pretty decent D's ... they do have some good matchups but I think the production of Lewis will be in proportion to the passing production of Boller ... which could be good but could also be bad.
