Egret
Twelve team keeper league. Each team keeps ten players. Performance scoring. I had the best record in the league last year, but was bounced in the first round of the playoffs. I have the eighth overall pick, which will not get me anyone good. I've been offered the fifth pick overall for Curtis Martin. I know that the first pick is going to be Braylon Edwards (UofM homer). So, I will get one of the four rookie RBs: Benson, Cadillac, Brown, or Arrington. Should I trade CuMar straight up for the fifth pick? Here's my 10 keepers: Matt Hasselbeck Kurt Warner Edgerrin James Lamont Jordan Curtis Martin Marvin Harrison Ashley Lelie Michael Clayton Nate Burleson Charles Rogers
NAUgrad
If you get to keep the 8th pick as well, yeah, I'd probably do it. Sounds like a rookie only draft and this is a great year to pick up one of the RB's.
Bier Meister
i think you can get more for him given his preformance last year. if the owner (or other owners don't want to give more) i'd still do the deal.
Egret
We had the draft today. I made the trade. I couldn't get anything else for Martin. Having Edge and Lamont Jordan as my probable starters gave me some flexibility. As expected the rookie RBs went 2-5. I had the fifth pick. I ended up with Ronnie Brown. Hopefully I won't need him to play when the season starts. Cadillac went second. Cedric Benson went third. JJ Arrington went fourth. Ronnie Brown fell to me. Braylon Edwards went first. Bier Meister
i think it's a good trade for your future.....don't think martin will match last year's performance.... and rw will be gone in a year.

darin3
Good job on making the trade, but I think you erred in the pick, honestly. I think Caddy Williams has better short AND long term value than Brown. Just my opinion. Still, getting Brown ... good trade. CuMar's not gonna have a season like last year ever again... and I'm feelin' an early-season injury. Blaylock and Houston will be a "thunder and lightning" duo. :swamisays:
