Moss for Alexander trade?

2-man 12-team keeper league... was planning on keeping E. James and R. Moss, until i was offered S. Alexander for Moss., and flip flopping draft position from 5-9... do i make the trade and start out with James and Alexander and the 9th pick? or stay put and start with Moss and James and the 5th pick?

obviously i'm aware i'd have 2 top 5 RB's, but i think Moss is gonna have a monster year...

opinions please...

Are you switching spots for the first round, first two rounds, or for the entire draft? These will make a big difference.

I would do this trade. With 24 players gone there will be mostly RB's gone, which will leave you a pretty good WR left to grab at 9. There will be plenty of talent available to you, but to get Shaun Alexander in a keeper league is huge. Moss is volatile to say the least. I like him and think he is going to do well, but get one of the most consistent RB's in the league while you can.

That advice is true for first round switch and first and second round switch. I will think about an entire draft switch, but it might be to take the trade.

Well, with the keepers out of the way, you'd essentially either have Edge and Moss and the 29th pick, or Edge and Alexander and the 33rd pick. I'd opt for the latter, in a no-brainer.

definitely leaning towards the trade before reading the advice here... think i'll go ahead and do this... the switching of the picks was for the remainder of the draft..

I still sya take that trade.

Honestly the talent that you could pick in the 5th spot all the way through the draft is going to be the same as at 9 all the way through. It is going to come down to taking the right value, you start that by taking this trade and laughing all the way to the Title.

WOW!! I'd take that trade in a heart beat! Alexander is on week in week out! What happens if Collins can't get Moss the Ball like he wants? I think Moss will have a nice season but! You know Alexander will.............Then on top of that you have James!!

That's a nice way to start the year!

i agree with everyone else and say take this trade. from year to year, more rb's will be kept in your league. with the 2 of those guys, you will not have to worry about that decision and be able to pick up the receivers that are dropped. if i could start our each season with edge and alexander and worry about picking up a top tier wide receiver in the first round, i would do it. take it and run.
