SLGRAF
Has anyone else thought someone in their league had a brutal draft, and that guy ends up winning the championship? A guy in my league last year had the 10/11 picks, and drafted Corey Dillon and MATT HASSELBACK (huge Seahawks homer), but, he lucked out with some later picks, and won the championship. Injuries and "lucky" late round picks can make a HUGH difference, but I'd venture to say that it is probably the exception rather than the norm, for sure. Roo
YES. Last year, the one guy who couldn't make our live draft, and submitted a crappy list (of only 30 players!!) ended up winning. His team after the draft looked so laughable, because we just used "best available" according to some preranks in a magazine. Well, he ended up drafting Moss, then Manning, then Tiki, then Dunn. If you can recall back to predraft '04, that sounds aweful - now things are very different. He also picked up guys like Moore and Mushin along the way, and cruised to a win. It goes to show how much you can't really rely on last year's numbers. Tiki came out of nowhere. Many guys came out of nowhere and far exceeded expectations.
