DamDarDan
8 Team keeper league: What would you look to get in return for Ronnie Brown in a Keeper league... Or would you hold onto him and see how he pans out?? I need to fill WR position. My other Running backs include: Rudi J. JJ Arrington Ricky Williams Eric Shelton LaMont Jordan and of Course Ronnie Brown Which one would you trade to upgrade at WR??
darin3
You're probably not gonna get many responses for questions on 8-team leagues. They're just too screwwy. But still, as a hypothetical question, I suppose the hypothetical answer would be Brown. If someone's high on him (no pun intended) and will pay top-dollar for him, you should get rid of him... due to the presence of Ricky Williams. Then, as the season progresses and Williams is set to return, trade Williams to that same owner (or perhaps another owner with serious RB issues -- not that this would happen in an 8-team league). Big Country
with only Rudi and Arrington at RB other than Brown, and saying you need WR help, just curious what positions you are strong at? Seems a little weak for an 8-team league. I'd look to get a good starting WR and perhaps a utility RB that you can plug in if need be

I took over a team this year in a keeper league that has been on going for about 6yrs... b/c the previous owner was neglegent, and now Im trying to rebuild. The team has finished in 7th or 8th all years in the league.... so therefore I wasn't dealt a golden child and am working with what I have. My receiver corp looks like this (WR+TE) - Start 3 Antonio Gates Larrry Fitzgerald Keyshawn Johnson Troy Williamson Justin McCareins Santana Moss

That's not the kind of receiving corps I'd like to see in an 8-man league. Who are your QBs? Hoping you say C-Pepp and Manning....

darin3
Palmer and Green 910972[/snapback] That's not horrible. I'd look to pair one of your QBs with whoever you decide to trade at RB... perhaps you can get some upgrades at WR.

I have to have 2... in our league there is no waiver wire. At the end of the year there is a 3 round draft (already happened), after that only trades can get you different / new players. Should I bite the bullet for this year and hope my RB's pan out and try trading them next year? Or should I make a move this season and potentially over pay?? Big Country
Well, you do have a lot of yong talent on the team, so the future may be bright, but the next year will likely be rough. I would focus on trying to do some 2 for 1 and even 3 for 1 trades to upgrade to some studs if possible... hard to do in an 8-team league as most teams don't really have any major needs.
