HeatSeeker
Looking for opinions..... 10 team performance league, normal starters plus flex player as wr or rb. 6 pts for all tds....pts for recpts.... I have the first pick, and though I normally would go LT, this could be the right year to go Manning. There are a lot of RBs this year and though we can all rank them....I don't know if anyone can say who will end up being the 4th or 5th best running back or the 15th. In the mock drafts Ive done, I still get 2 quality backs along with Manning. With our scoring...Moss, Owens, Harrison and maybe Holt along with Culpepper and McNabb could be off the board when I pick 20th. So 6 or 7 players will be off the board meaning I would get RB 13 or 14. A rb in that range could end up being a top 10 back...the RB logjam is tough to call this year. With all the backs this year, is it the right year to take a QB first? Is anyone else in this boat and what are your plans.
KUBJPO01
Based on the fact that you get 6 pts for a passing TD then, YES this IS the year to take Manning #1. Please see mine.
canman1104
I also have the 1st over all pick with a very similar scoring system. I am giving serious thought of taking Manning 1st overall. Ill have the 24 & 25 pick to grab a couple of 2nd tier RB's. If Manning has anything close to what he did last year then I can ride him right to the playoffs. Keep in mind that the Colts have an eaiser schedule then they did last year. Could be an even better season for Manning.
Big Country
Well, strictly looking at value, and assuming the rest is standard scoring (1 pt per 10 rush/rec, 1 per 20 pass), then, based on the scoring from the last 3 years, the top scoring QB would be the 6th most valuable player over the course of the season with 6 pt. passing TDs, while with 4 pt TDs, he would be the 9th most valuable overall. THis is assuming a starting lineup of 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR and 1 TE. Not sure how to post out of Excel to show the backup, but I'll be working on a more in depth look at it in the near future hopefully
