Hollywood69
I've got a real dilema that I know a lot of owners would love to have. I'm in a keeper league and can keep 4 players. The problem however is that there are 5 players I would love to keep. The 5 players are Jamal Lewis, Rudi Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Javon Walker, and Tony Gonzalez. Whom do I drop? I was considering either Javon Walker or Tony Gonzalez and leaning more towards Javon Walker and getting another WR with my first round pick. Keep in mind that in my league we get 1 point every 10 rushing yards or 10 receiving yards and also 1 point for every reception. The points in receptions makes the WRs about equal to the RBs as far as total point potentional. Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated. SLGRAF
If based upon where you are picking in the first round of your draft, and, the number of quality WRs who will be available, you are likely to have a chance at a good WR, then keep Gonzo. But, if it looks like WRs will be thin from the get-go, keep Walker.
rhippens
is it a tight end mandatory league?

I was thinking of taking a chance on someone like Deion Branch.

(i'm hoping that was a joke.) if it's a tight end mandatory league, i would keep the 2 rb's, gonzo, and whichever wide receiver you have ranked higher, then probably pick up a second wide receiver out of the group that wasn't kept with the 5 spot. if you honestly think that a guy of branch's caliber is the best receiver that will be available at the 5 pick, i would drop gonzo and pick up one of the other top tier tight ends that are available with the 5 spot. I agree. I would keep Walker over Gonzo in that case. The combined stats of Gonzo/Branch, IMO, will not approach the combined stats of Walker, and even an average TE. bandwidth
I'd drop Gonzo. He is the weakest of your receving candidates and if you feel compelled, you should be able to pickup a good replacement a rpound or two early.
yo mama
Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated. 912055[/snapback] Gonzo. The Harrison/Walker tandum is just to good to walk away from. Look at it this way: in a 12 team league, where would Harrsion be drafted? Late 2nd/early third. And Walker? Early to mid 3rd. What about Gonzo? probably no sooner than the 4th. Roo
Yeah it's close, but I'd also drop Gonzo.
Zooty
If it is TE mandatory I would keep Gonzo and drop Walker. I can't belive that only keeping 4 players Branch would be the best WR available in the 1st rd. If Branch is the best WR available the TEs must look even worse. I figured that the top 12 WRs will be gone along with the top 6 TEs. That's my predictions looking at everyones rosters. So I'm leaning with keeping Walker and hoping I can snag someone like Randy McMichael with my first pick.
