To Keep Heap or Not to Keep Heap

I have Walker, Burress, Heap, and Ravens D as my four keepers right now (league only allowed us to keep players drafted AFTER the third round last year).

 

I can acquire C.Palmer for a meaningless draft pick (like a 9th or 10th). However, I would have to cut one of my guys to make the move.

 

My first instinct was to cut Heap and keep Burress. What would you do? Would you want Palmer over Heap or Burress in this situation? If yes, who would you cut - Heap or Burress?

Depends on how much you like Palmer / what other QBs you expect to be available ... if you make the trade however, I'd be inclined to maybe take a chance on retaining Heap, since I'd expect that you could easily get Plax back on your squad during the draft if you really wanted to ... since TE-req'd, Heap might have more perceived value, and go a round or two earlier than might otherwise be expected.

I'd cut Burress, the rest look like a nice starting group.

Cut Burress... unless you can keep him in lieu of a 10th round or later pick.

As a follow up....A.Brooks is available. Would you take Brooks over Palmer in a keeper format where I can keep these guys for two years, including this year.

No. Brooks has been a reasonable FF QB, but for now Palmer appears to be the right guy in the right situation at the right time.
