darin3
Well I like my team so far, at least I got that goin... Bulger, Davis, Dillon and Gonzo. Solid QB and TE and a very good 1-2 RB punch. My only WR at this point, however, is Muhammed (via trade). I am 2 picks away from selecting in the 6th round (via trade). I have 6.01 and 6.09. I absolutely need an impact WR. Not sure if one's out there, at this point. Best available? Lelie - Not really a #1 WR... or is he? Is Rod Smith still good enough to be a #1? R. Smith - See above. Evans - Same issue as Lelie/Smith with Moulds. Moulds - See above. Fitzgerald - Boldin or Fitzgerald? Who's gonna be the man? Kennison - Already have Gonzo. Chambers - I like Chambers. The new OC at Miami is the same guy that installed the "Randy Ratio" offense at Minnesota (Linehan?). I think Chambers is a solid sleeper this season. But should I wait until 6.09 to grab him? Mason - I like Mason, but the above guys are actually rated higher than him on The Huddle's rankings. Best available RBs (in case no WRs look good to me) include: Dunn, Barlow and Staley (hurt). Thoughts? Edited August 8, 2005 by darin3
MrGameTime
I like Evans and Fitzgerald at the top of the list! Then Mason as a sleeper for some reason I feel like Boller is going to have a nice year! Maybe it's just me!
ts
Fitz/Chambers, maybe Lelie look like the best bets here. Rod Smith is no longer an "impact" WR, but neither of the others you list ... Smith might be the safe pick, but he's no longer an "upside potential" guy.
rhippens
i would take fitz, chambers, or boldin in that order. i think fitz will be the statistical #1 on the cards. i think chambers will get his numbers regardless. and i think boldin will also be succesful once again. Jimmy Neutron
Boldin Lelie Evans Fitzgerald In that order.
cliaz
BoldinLelie Evans Fitzgerald In that order. 915453 my gut says... Lelie is going to have a huge year, last year was great, he caught a TD in 6 straight games and he only catches bombs. projections - 1300 and 9 to 11 tds. Boldin Evans Fitzgerald in that order logic says what Jimmy Neutron stated above. Edited August 8, 2005 by cliaz
darin3
Maybe my post was unclear. Boldin is not available. Fitzgerald is. Only reason Boldin's name is in the initial post was in reference to either him or Fitzgerald being the "number one" in Arizona. I'm still completely unsure as to what I'm gonna do here. Thoughts? 915403 R.Smith - To me, he's just someone who will put up consistent games, but won't explode. Lelie - More inconsistent than R.Smith, perhaps slightly more potential to have bigger games. Evans - Had him late in the season last year and loved him. Not sure about that Losman guy throwing to him though. Moulds - Never had much faith in him. Fitz - Like him lots. Don't think it really matters who's #1 in Ari. If Boldin is #1, that just draws double coverage away from Fitz. Kennison - Yuck. Chambers - Can't say I know much about the new OC situation...but if it wasn't for that I would say "see Kennison". Dunn - Hmm... Barlow - See Kennison. Staley - I have him in one of my leagues, but then again I also have Bettis. Overall, I would rank in this order: Fitz, Evans, Dunn. Good luck! Zooty
ROD SMITH- I'm not dead yet! If you want potential I would go Fitz. Maybe Moulds or Evans but they have a new QB so it may be a few weeks till they are productive. Denver has the most prolific offense at this point and Lelie has cement hands. Rod is your man
Fenokee
Drafting a QB and Gonzo within the first 5 rounds put you in a position where your wide receivers aren't gonna shine when people look at your roster. But that's OK, if you're happy with Bulger (I would be) and Gonzo (enuf said here), then you bite the bullet and draft what you see as the best value when its your go. I Just finished my draft and reflecting back, in the 5th round, I wish I had gone with a RB versus a WR. I have a great 1-2 punch in the backfield as well (DD and KJones), but when Carnell Williams was snapped up just before my next pick, I went WR and now I'm paying for it. (L. Johnson, Pittman, M. Anderson ended up as my back-ups). The WR's you have listed are all pretty equal - maybe that's why you're having such a tough time deciding which one to draft. I'd go with Dunn here to solidify your RB situation just a bit more. WR is the toughest spot to draft (after the top tier guys are gone) in FF (IMO). Let the WR's slide for another round. Guys like Travis Taylor, Reggie Williams, Charles Rogers and Antonio Bryant are being overlooked and could be had later (much later) in your draft. Are these guys shoo-in's for moster seasons............no, but neither is the list of guys in your post. Good Luck
