darin3
I know, it's VERY difficult to "rate someone's team", especially this early... especially not seeing all the other teams... but the reason I'm posting this is to hopefully get some hometown information on these guys... I read the newspaper and several online articles every day (and The Huddle, of course), but it's next to impossible to glean 100% of the info out there. So some input based on what you've perhaps heard locally (or just your opinion) would be valuable. 12-team league, 6pts all TDs, 10/1 rush/rec, 25/1 passing. QB - Palmer, Brooks RB - Holmes, K. Jones, Benson, L. Johnson, M. Moore WR - Horn, Roy Williams, J. Smith, Edwards, Lloyd TE - Gates, Jolley K - Wilkins D - Washington I'm real happy with my RBs. We can start up to 3 (since we have a WR/RB flex) RBs, in addition to 3 WRs and QB. Pretty good WR depth with some youth and some ageless wonders in there. Not too keen on the QBs - Palmer needs to live up to the hype or Brooks needs to pull his head out of his cornhole. Solid kicker drafted late, and may have waited too long on a D, but can easily play round-robin with hot Ds.
Adrenaline
As long as Palmer & Jones continue last season's progress I think your team is awesome. Just cross your fingers that Palmer or Brooks have a good season ( as you said) . With the stud TE in the mix I'd take this team & be happy. Robash
yea barring the injury bug you should have great year, a tier 2 qb thats everyone thinks is in for a huge year, two first round rb's and a highly touted rookie. Reciever wise you have gates...im sure he will be top 5 mong te's again but i see his numbers slipping some, less td's. im thinking he will be one marked man in the redzone. the wide outs you have should combine for at least 4000 yards this year, proven guy in horn and lots of upside with roy and edwards. Wilkens should be solid, and wash should be towrds the top since most d's in ff are turnover sack based. sorry i dont have any homer news for you, but you stayed away from the perennial fantasy studs that make up the giants offence :P
rhippens
d, i think you did great. you secured the kansas city running back job and got another stud in k.jones. i think benson would have been the starter opening day, but now he's gonna have to fight for it since he isn't in camp yet. at receiver you have 2 studs, mr. consistency, and 2 guys with upside. tight end is top tier and a sleeper. quarterback is solid. i like palmer to have a good year. brooks is annoying, i had him last year. he's inconsistent, but makes a very good number 2 or spot starter. not crazy about the washington defense, but you should be able to change that if they don't pan out. overall, i think you did great. the only thing i would knock a bit is the depth at running back. but if benson gets the starting job, you'll be fine. nice work. you have a link for the draft? or could you at least list what round you got these guys in? Hugh 0ne
I can't believe so many of you are buying into the Carson Palmer hype. Did you not learn anything from Hasselbeck. Dorey has one HUGH delusion every year, this year it's Palmer. Nice RB's, solid work handcuffing Priest with LJ. Not sure what Benson will bring, but if Moore can grab the starting job in Minnesota, you'll have the best RB's in the league most likely. A little light at WR. No stud, and hopefully Williams will stay healthy. We'll see about the rook, and Lloyd could have a long seaon with the rookie QB. With the good RB's and flex position, your WR's should be suitable. I just think the QB's will cause you bouts of illness. For a 12 team league, I'd say good, not great.
Caveman_Nick
QB - Palmer, Brooks RB - Holmes, K. Jones, Benson, L. Johnson, M. Moore WR - Horn, Roy Williams, J. Smith, Edwards, Lloyd TE - Gates, Jolley K - Wilkins D - Washington 917352 So you managed to get Holmes, K Jones, Benson, L Johnson, Horn, Roy Williams, and Gates in the first 7 rounds. Keeper league, or did you draft against a girl scout troop?
Grits and Shins
I generally agree with Hugh except that I think Palmer will be fine and will likely start for you every week over Brooks.

B Man Inc
For a 12-team league I think you have an awesome team. Your QB is a little lacking, as you said, but there is still big upside (at QB) and the rest of your team is totally solid. You have solid players who will produce as well as young players with big upside. The only thing you need to do now is hope for no injuries! darin3
All - thanks for your input. This league is a mix ... couple of vets, couple of rooks, couple of "part-timers" ... real hard to gauge what people are thinking. Got LJ in like the 11th round, whereas he's been going in the 6th/7th in most other drafts. And Williams slipped a little bit. Have to disagree w/ Hugh - Horn would be considered a stud WR in my mind. Thanks for your input... I'm pretty high on this team - I think the only question is at QB and perhaps WR depth. 1stimer
Horn would be considered a stud WR in my mind.917854 While some don't think he is a stud, He is definitely on of the most consistent top scorers outside of that "stud" group.
