JWP 45
I draft tomorrow and found out today that I will have the third pick. All TD's are worth 6, including passing. I'm assuming that I won't see Manning, if I do at #3 do I take him? I have never taken a QB first round, but if a passing TD is worth 6... Assuming LT and Manning are gone, would you take Alexander or Holmes? Holmes if he stays healthy he would have more total yards and TD's than Alexander...but can he stay healthy? What would you do? Does Culpepper even factor in this early?
B Man Inc
I would take Alexander with the 3rd pick. I think he's just the safest bet. You gamble a lot taking Manning with the 3rd pick because you're relying on the other owners to leave you with some decent RBs with the 22nd pick. If they are any good then that might not happen. I would feel more in control of the draft by taking an RB with the 3rd pick rather than being behind the rest of the draft and hoping that decent players fall. I like Alexander over Holmes because he is more stable in my opinion. You won't have the same injury worries with Alexander as with Priest. You won't have to worry about spending a mid-round pick handcuffing Larry Johnson for insurance. You're right, IF Priest stays healthy he may put up bigger numbers than Alexander but with Alexander there is no IF. Culpepper is absolutely not a consideration this early. Ralph Furley
If it is a 10 man league, I would strogly think of taking Manning. If Alexander is there, I take him if it's a 12 man league.
