Bedoman
Tracking Deuce McGahee Dillon DD J Lewis Leaning towards Deuce or DD right now I think all are very very close, any opinions on these guys My #2 RB will be a little weak I come back with the overall 20 pick and then back with 28.... At 20 I'm looking at maybe Steven Jackson or Lamont Jordan depending on others that may fall to me.... What do I do wit hmy second and third round picks Bedoman
Dr. Love
I think that Deuce and Dillon are the safest picks (I recommend going relatively safe in the first round). McGahee is the home run swing, but I personally wouldn't take him in the first round this year; I just think too poorly of Buffalo's offense as a whole. Five is earlier than I'd take Davis or Lewis personally, but few would question either pick. Bottom line is you have to go with who you like out of those guys. wildbluefan
Deuce, will be comeback player of the year IMO !!
Fenokee
5th pick, performance league... 1. LT2 2. SA 3. Priest/Edge 4. Edge/Priest 5. you No Manning in the top 4? Havent seen many folks discuss a draft that doesnt have Manning in the top 4, but I digress. Without alot of fanfare about all your options, I like DD. He's been consistent, has a bit of an injury-prione label around his neck, but he's actually missed very little time due to nagging injuries (nothing major). He's also one of the top (if not the top) pass catching RB(s) in the NFL right now. If Houston's offense jells a bit in 2005, I see DD's end-zone opportunities increasing, and he does have a pretty good nose for the end-zone. Judge Smales
I like Deuce over DD just from a risk factor. DD has all the potential of a top 5 RB with his catches, but I really don't look forward to a season of "game-time decisions" (If I wanted that I'd pick a DEN RB) which is a possibility again with DD. It could happen to Deuce too, but not as likely IMO.
slimshady31
I think your leaning the right way Bedoman. I'd slot it as follows: Deuce DD McGahee Jamal Dillon I too think that McGahee has huge updside, but BUF with a new QB with only 6 pass attempts to his resume scares me A LOT. I don't know if McGahee will have a lot of open running lanes if opposing defenses just stack the line and make Losman beat them. I love DD for his involvement in all phases of HOU offense, but his injury concern always scares me. If he stays healthy this year, then to me he would come out ahead of Deuce... JO-E
Jamal Lewis..... out of jail... ready to go... lol but seriously.. he has the combination of speed and power... I think he is the 3rd best player in the draft (behind LT and Alex)

Bedoman
OK I have added Jamal Lewis to the mix.... Deuce Lewis McGahee DD Portis I'll have to pay close attention to the last three pre season games to decide, I just know my first round is huge looking to my second running back being a bit of an unknown if I wait until the third round Here is my scenario Rnd2 - If i go stud WR like C Johnson.Holt,Harrison then I come back in RND3 with maybe S Jackson/L Jordan/Westbrook or if they are gone I look down to Arrington/Williams/Bell etc.... Rnd2 - If I guarantee myself someone like S Jackson/Jordan/Westbrook then in Rnd3 I'm looking at Horn/Wayne/Walker range as my #1 WR Touch call what do you think about Rnd 2&3 BEDOMAN

You know that the three guys in front of you are likely going to go RB-WR, with the oddball WR-QB or RB-QB thrown in, at the 2-3 swing. That means that between your second round pick and your third, it's likely that 2-3 RB's will be taken, 2-3 WR's will be taken, likely a QB, and possibly a TE. So when your turn comes up, you have to realize it's likely that if you go WR, your top 2 or 3 RB's will be gone before you pick in round 3. Same thing if you go RB, your top 2 or 3 WR's will likely be gone by your next pick. If there is only one of your first-tier WR left and 3 or 4 tier two RB left, going WR would be the pick. However, if the situation is reversed, where there are several WR that are about the same to you with only one or two RB that are in the tier you're targeting, go RB in round 2 and catch a WR on the swing. Don't be afraid to go QB in Rd. 3 either if you think that there's value there.
