slimshady31
Fellow huddlers, still haven't had our fantasy draft, but all indications are that there will be a run on top RB's for obvious reasons through the first 8 picks. I pick #9 in a 10-team keeper league this year and am wondering if in fact Manning slips to me, I have to take him right? I've always stuck to RB-RB-WR combo in the first 3 rounds, but this year if it holds out that not even DD or Deuce or Jamal fall to me at #9 to take, then I really can't bring myself to select Portis or KJ or JJ or one of those type borderline backs ahead of stud Manning. I just never have liked taking a QB in the first round before, even if it is Manning. Is that sacreligious to say? Thanks and I'll try to answer some posts now. TD pass-4pts TD rush/receive-6pts 1pt for each 25 pass yds/1pt for each 10 rush/receive yards Bonus pts for # of receptions (1pt per)

Judge Smales
I don't think Manning will get another 49 this year, but even if he gets 75% of that it's still almost 40 TD's The only guys I'd take ahead of Manning are Deuce, JLewis, and the other 4 RB's. I think there are too many question marks with guys like: DD - Is he over the injury bug / GT decision every week McGahee - Will they really have an offense this year? (visions of Barlow running through my head) Dillon - Close to picking ahead of Manning, but you gotta believe Manning will have more "Big" games than Dillon. Portis - I like him this year, but a repeat of last year's number vs Manning's expected numbers? The Jones boys - Take your pick, lots of talent here, but still "rookies" in my book. I think that's about all of the Tier 2 backs. Good luck, I hate taking a QB first, but my gut feel is he won't be around for my pick at #7, but gotta do your homework on it just in case he does fall.
