Donutrun Jellies
The Jellies drafted 7th of 14 ... Starters highlighted by * ... Pretty typical scoring, only passing TDs are 6pts, sacks are 3 rather than 1, and return yards count 30=1pt -- the rest is typical. How would you upgrade? WRs are all questions, where's my trade bait? Will Strahan bounce back? All thoughts welcome!! Donutrun Jellies Starters: 3. (35) M. Bulger * 1. (7) D. McAllister * 2. (22) S. Jackson * 4. (50) S. Beam
That's a really nice team, especially since you drafted with 14 people. Deuce is good, Steven Jackson is due for a very nice season, JJ Arrington is good off the bench. Steve Smith, Lelie, Calico and Lloyd are good potential picks. All of them are young and can explode in every game they play. I bet you win high scorer of the week a few times. Witten, Vanderjagt, Lewis, Bulluck and Pittsburgh are all very solid. Depending on how your receivers do, I think you have a good shot at a fantasy title.
slimshady31
Donutrun Jellies, at first glance, I'd say good draft all in all. I like the RB selections especially in a 14-teamer. Deuce will regain stud status as an elite RB, and Jackson is a good #2 but Martz always scares me about how he will actually use him in the flow of the Rams offense. I could see him disappearing on you sometimes in games, not due to his ability or performance, just Martz going nuts with the passing game again. But I digress.... Your WR corps is a bit suspect since I assume Smith is your #1. There is upside with all the rest (being Lelie, Calico, Lloyd) but I guess you can hope/bank on at least one of them having a breakout year Witten as your TE is solid. Nothing to add there. Same with Bulger. All in all, I'd rate it a B. As far as trade bait, I'd try and package Witten and one of your WR's to upgrade to a better #2 WR maybe.... I think you can get by nicely with Jolley as a sleeper TE and be pleasantly surprised.
AoNrDaYnAge
Props for taking Darren Sproles you won't regret it...he is gonna be awesome and even if he isn't how often can anyone say they have a five foot seven, 170 lb guy on their fantasy team? And he is good too he was sooooo good in college I can't wait to see him at every Chargers home game. I'm either gonna get his jersey or Fonuti, the 400 lb LG's jersey lol. AoNrDaYnAge
Other than that of couse I like your draft, pretty solid all around but like you said alll your WRs are big question marks but normally you can pick up a decent WR from Free agency and one or two of them are garunteed to come through and be solid sleepers. I especially like Reggie Williams on your bench I think at some point he will be a starter for you over Calico.
dingos
interesting that you got lloyd so late as opposed to calico. Excellent draft though in a 14 team league.
Donutrun Jellies
I'm currently shopping packages of either Bulluck/Calico or Bulluck/LLoyd for an upgrade at WR ...
Dr. Love
Very good backs for a 14-team draft. Good value in Bulger and Witten. I don't really like your WR's, but I'm not going to touch Steve Smith this year. I don't follow IDP's, but if they're relatively strong, you should really compete.
