John Kuhn HB/FB Pittsburgh Steelers

Just a cool moment from last night was seeing John Kuhn an undrafted rookie Free Agent from the Steelers catching a TD pass in the 4th Quarter last night. Kuhn played for Shippensburg University, a Division II School in Pennsylvania. My brother-in-law was the starting QB at Shippensburg during Kuhn's Freshman and Sophomore seasons. He caught a 70 yard TD from my Brother-In-Law during his Freshman year, in which he probably broke like 6 tackles, and I thought wow, that kid looks like he belongs in D1. I met him quite a few times up there, and it was GREAT to see him get into the endzone last night. He has no shot of making the team, but I'm sure that will be a moment he remembers forever, and maybe he can catch onto a practice squad somewhere, and if not, I'm sure he can play NFL Europe or Arena League. Anyway, just wanted to share that little tidbit from last night's game.

I like seeing the kids that work their ass off just to get into camp. Will Demps (Safety opposite Ed Reed) was a walk on at San Diego State, undrafted in the NFL and is now a full time starter.

Shippensburg is not too far from me. In fact, Ship is in my daughters swim league, and I believe I've been up there once so far.
