XFlash
I have Carr/Palmer. Griese is a FA. I'm thinking about trading Palmer for Crumpler and picking up Griese. I believe that Palmer has a better weapons around him than Carr. Plus the Crupler owner went to the same college as Carr and would very much like to have him. (he also has Gonzo he other QBs are Brady/Farve). What are your thoughts about Carr/Palmer/Griese? EDIT: Crumpler owner to same college as Carr. Not Crumpler to the same college as Carr. And even if you are willing to trade Palmer, his value is low right now due to a less than spectacular (i.e., less than the overblown hype) preseason performance. Besides, Crumpler is crappy value in return regardless. DO NOT do that trade. Wait for Palmer to have a couple of good games, let the bandwagon get rolling again, the see who in your league could use/need a QB. Or, see if you can trade Carr for Crumpler. If not, I'd dump Carr and pick up Griese pronto. He'll be much more reliable than Carr as an every week starter in the event Palmer busts/get hurt. And he still covers Palmer's week 10 bye (vs. Washington). Edited August 30, 2005 by yo mama
TonyMantana
I know you want a tight-end. But a straight trade for a up-and-coming QB for a TE on a team where the QB runs it all the time doesn't seem to get you much for your total roster. Can't you get more for Palmer than Crumpler? Haskel
No way I give up Palmer for Crumpler. I also agree, Palmer has more value than Carr. Follow Yo Mamas advice...good stuff there. By the way...Crumpler went to North Carolina and Carr went to Fresno State. Not the same college the last time I checked.

I know you want a tight-end. But a straight trade for a up-and-coming QB for a TE on a team where the QB runs it all the time doesn't seem to get you much for your total roster. Can't you get more for Palmer than Crumpler? Since I do not really need Carr if I'm keeping Palmer and going for the FA pickup of Griese, I do not mind getting Crumpler in return. He is better than what I currently have at TE. TE is my biggest weak area (like everyone else not owning Gonzo/Gates). I figure that I get something for Carr since somone has interest in him vs. just throwing him back into the FA pool. Below are both rosters. Zia
yup, palmer is surely the one with more point potential for this year. griese a better plug in too. try heath miller or randy mcmicheal as TEs, or even bubby franks....
nhoops
Now it makes more sense. don't get rid of Palmer. Who is available for TE? Watson? Pollard may be decent this year. I like Griese better than Car so if your sold on Crumpler, do the deal and pick up Griese. Good Luck Check out my post http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=104563
