CaptainHook
Unconfirmed reports on Jags message board from an "insider" that Darius has torn his ACL and is done for the year. Swiss Cheezhead
Are we going to see Gerald Sensabaugh? That would be nice. I think that kid could be special.

gilthorp
What the hell is with the NFL playing their starters on Special Teams? I see Harrison doing it for the Patriots, but that is an incredible risk to put a starting SS on ST's. Let's take a look at his replacement, who has sleeper written all over him. Deke Cooper is out of Notre Dame, and has good size for a strong safety (6' 2"--210)....somewhat impressive that he started 10 games for the Jags a few years back, and in his first start, he had 13 tackles (11 solo). He also was named NFL Europe's Defensive Player of the year in 02'...so, he's got game. Unless they change something with the scheme, this kid will put up some strong numbers. He had 25 starts in college, played in 45 games and has solid all around production. He came into Notre Dame as an offensive player, being recruited as a wide receiver, so you have to assume he has better than average hands. Don't hesitate in those deep leagues to snap him up immediately, since the Jets will try to run and have a fairly conservative passing scheme where Cooper can be involved against. CaptainHook
Deke looked good against the Colts. Word is that he is better in coverage than Darius, but not near the physical run supporter.
CaptainHook
Most NFL teams run some starters on special teams. It is a risk, but sometimes you have to do it, with only 45 active for gameday.

gilthorp
So, Deke Cooper had 4 solo's, 2 PD's and an interception yesterday, which makes for a very solid fantasy day.
