Thinking outside the box

Recommended Posts

I am trying to find a #4 RB. I am in a perfmorance league that also gives one point per reception. I can start 2 RB and 3 WR. My RB's are Alexander and Jackson. My backups are Travis Henry and Arrington. I am wanting to drop Arrington and pick up a #4 in case Henry doesn't pay off or should I say Chris Brown doesn't get hurt. So I started thinking outside the box a little.

Available RBs are Cedric Benson, Kevin Barlow, Ron Dayne, Lee Suggs, Alstott which are the names. All of the sleepers ie Chris Perry are taken.

Availble WR's are Kevin Curtis, McDonald, Troy Brown, David Givens are the main names.

I was looking at the players availbe and Cooley the TE from WAS is available. But they have them listed as a TE/RB so I could play Cooley at the RB position also. I have seen some sites that think he will be a good redzone threat. What do you think? Should I play the odds or go with a more traditional threat like a troy brown or ron dayne?

Thanks for the help.

since whoever you grab is going to be on your bench, out of the names you listed i would take benson. stash him because if he becomes the man in chicago his value will skyrocket. the other folks on the list (or similar players) will probably still be out there from week to week ...

I like Benson and Dayne the best. Just not sure how Denver will use Dayne. Benson will probably be the best bet because of how week the North is. Just thinking of a way to have a backup TE and RB at the same time and if it was even a good idea.

at least the other people I listed except for benson are playing. Arrington has this mysterious. Right now I'm not seeing the upside in keeping Arrington.

I don't know who Cooley is but an H-Back probably isn't a good bet. I agree with most of the others to grab Benson and stash him. If week 7 or 8 comes around and nothing looks bright for Benson then you can do something about it then. You should have a good idea by then.
