MojoMan
The NBA wants to impose a dress code on the homeys in the league. What say ye?
Egret
Image is everything.

I Like Soup
Like Forrest Gregg used to say, "if you make the salary of an executive, you should dress like an executive." I tend to agree. The NBA has declining television ratings, etc. They need to do something to spruce up their image.
Cosmo-J
If I was making $10 Million per year and they told me I had to wear a jacket made from a bloated, stinking carcass of an elephant seal, I'd say, "42 Regular."

And I'm curious, have you ever not watched a game because of what the players on the bench are wearing? Or what they wear on a plane ride (that you aren't on?) I Like Soup
Not too many executives make what these players are making... And yet they dress much better. And I'm curious, have you ever not watched a game because of what the players on the bench are wearing? Or what they wear on a plane ride (that you aren't on?) The direct answer to your question is no. But I'm also going to assume you understand the reason why the NBA would look at a policy like this. 1063913[/snapback]
LegFuJohnson
I sort of understand the reason, I just don't think it's a relevant issue. I just really don't think anyone cares if an injured Tim Duncan is wearing jeans on the end of the bench when he's not playing.
Donutrun Jellies
No importance -- dress code on the way to the game? Thugs are thugs and if you draft/hire them, that's your fault. Medium importance -- dress code at the game ... yep, you're representing the organization in front of thousands and we're paying you millions. Clean it up a bit. HUGE importance: How about a dress code for when they are on the court ... get back to having so semblance of professionalism on the court. TUCK YOU DANG SHIRT IN!! PULL YOUR SHORTS UP!!! WEAR SHORTS NOT FAT DWARF PANTS!!!
